High-speed train is a good choice to travel between Zhangjiajie and Furong Ancient Town. More than 10 high-speed trains are operating between Zhangjiajie West Railway Station and Furongzhen Railway Station every day. It takes about 0.5 hours only which is very fast and convenient. The earliest train departs at around 07:30 and the latest train departs at around 16:00. Whether you want to travel from Zhangjiajie to Furong Ancient Town, or from Furong Ancient Town to Zhangjiajie, high-speed train is the most efficient way and first choice.

● Zhangjiajie West Railway Station (Zhangjiajiexi 张家界西站)

Location & Detailed Address: Wulingshan Avenue, Shadi Street, Yongding District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province (张家界市永定区沙堤街道武陵山大道)

Transportation: It is about 14 kilometers from Tianmen Mountain (about 0.5 hours by driving), about 20 kilometers from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (about 0.5 hours by driving), and about 9 km (about 20 minutes by driving) to Zhangjiajie downtown.

● Furongzhen Railway Station (Furongzhen 芙蓉镇站)

Currently, shuttle bus departs between 06:50 and 17:00 from Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station to Furongzhen Bus Station. It usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours and the ticket price is CNY 40. It may not suit tourists’ travel itineraries because the departure time is unfixed.
