Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is located northwest of Zhangjiajiexi/Zhangjiajie West Railway Station (张家界西站) and Zhangjiajie Railway Station (张家界站). The distance between Zhangjiajie West Railway Station and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is about 28km and approximately 35 minutes by car.

The Wulingyuan Scenic Area has five ticket stations. Wujiayu Ticket Station is close to Tianzi Mountain, Zimugang Ticket Station is near Yuanjiajie, and Forest Park Ticket Station is the closest to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

By Coach/Shuttle Bus - Budget Friendly

Coming out of Zhangjiajie West Railway Station, you'll find the intercity bus terminal on your right, named Tourist Shuttle Hub (游客集散中心). From there, you can take a coach to Wulingyuan (武陵源), where there are many convenient accommodations for your visit. The coach fare is about ¥13. Afterwards, you can transfer from Wulingyuan to the National Forest Park, which costs about ¥10. Please note that coaches to Wulingyuan stop operating in early evening.

If you arrive at Zhangjiajie Railway Station, Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station (张家界中心汽车站) is just about a 250-meter, 4-minute walk from the Station. From there, you can conveniently and quickly catch a direct bus to the National Forest Park (森林公园). The fare is about ¥12.

By Taxi & Ride-Hailing Services

If you arrive in Zhangjiajie late and the coach and shuttle buses have stopped running, you can take a taxi or a ride-hailing service to the National Forest Park. Taxis are available from the B1 parking lot at Zhangjiajie West Railway Station. As for Zhangjiajie Railway Station, its convenient downtown location makes it easy to get a taxi as well. The fare typically ranges from ¥60 to ¥90.
