There is no direct train or high speed train between Hong Kong and Zhangjiajie, and you need to transfer via other cities, such as Guangzhou, Changsha, Hengyang, etc. As there is no high speed train station in Zhangjiajie, then you need to take high speed train from Hong Kong to these cities first, and then transfer to normal train to Zhangjiajie Railway Station. You could go to Zhangjiajie from Hong Kong via Guangzhou. There are about 34 daily G-trains from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou South Railway Station. Hong Kong to Shenzhen: By High Speed Train

Traveling from Hong Kong to Zhangjiajie via Shenzhen is also a good choice. Although both Futian Railway Station (福田站) and Shenzhen North Railway Station are located at Shenzhen, it’s advised to take train to Shenzhen North Railway Station. Because the north railway station is closer to Shenzhen Baoan International Airport.

Generally, there are 67 G-train during Monday to Friday operating from Hong Kong and Shenzhen North Railway Station (68 G-train in Saturday and Sunday).
