Yuncheng - Hometown of Guanyu
Yuncheng is the southernmost city in Shanxi province. It borders Linfen and Jincheng, and province of Shaanxi and Henan to the west and south. For the golden location, it was the most important hub of salt transportation in ancient time.

Guandi Temple in Xiezhou
Guandi Temple, located 10 km southeast of Xiezhou, is a unique temple to commemorate a famous general named Guan Yu, one of the best known historical figures in ancient Chinese history. The temple is the most renowned Guan Yu temple in China.
The temple was built as the layout of a palace, in 589 AD during the Sui Dynasty. A visit here, you’ll not only know more about Guan Yu’s life story and Three Kingdom’s history, but also appreciate the art of ancient architecture.

Yongle Palace is a Taoist art complex. It is famous for its well-preserved frescoes which date back to the Yuan Dynasty in 14th century. Imposing and splendid, Yongle Palace distinguish itself as one of the three most important Taoist shrines in China.
Yongle Palace, which was originally called the Great Pure Sun Longevity Palace, was built to honor Lu Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals in Taoism. In this art gallery, visitors could enjoy the artist charm of the ancient works.

Pujiu Buddhist Temple
Pujiu Temple is a Buddhist temple associated with a love story. It is well known for an ancient romance play entitled Romance of the West Chamber by Wang Shifu, one of the famous playwrights in the Yuan Dynasty. This classic Chinese dramatic work lauds the pursuit of love and freedom and decries feudalism and despotism.

Guanque Tower
Guanque Tower stands on the east bank of the Yellow River. It was first established during the period between 557 and 580. Due to its delicate structure and superior location, the tower is reputed as one of the four famous ancient towers in China. (The other three includes Yellow Crane Tower in Hubei, Yueyang Pavilion in Hunan, and Tengwang Pavilion in Jiangxi.)
