I’m really sorry, I almost forgot to send you this feedback.

As always after back at home there’s tons of things to do.

Actually I don’t have any complaint about the company, only good things. But here’s the answers to the questions:

1. I’m very satisfied with the fast reply and the communication back and forth through emails. When I needed a letter of confirmation for my visa, I got it almost immediately.

2. Tour arrangement is very good, with the help of our travel consultant (Wonder), we decided the pace of the trip, the sights and the hotels.

Our guides in Guangzhou (Julin) and Guilin (Lyla) were very friendly and knowledgeable.

3. Sure, I would recommend it to my family and friends.

Actually it’s the first time I’m travelling with a private tour to China, usually I would take a group tour, but because of travelling with elderly it’s very convenient to travel with a private tour, and I would do it again for another trip to China.

That was my answers for the evaluation, I hope it’s useful.

All went well, and as planned apart from the slight problem with the Grand Hyatt in Guangzhou, but they compensated us well with club room access!

I would like to thank you for organizing our trip from Chengdu to HK…Everything was fabulous.

We really enjoyed our tour in China, but seems like, overall, 10 days was not enough time…was quite a rush through China’s amazing attraction points, no resting/relaxing time…so, on next planed tour to China, definitely we’ll add some extra time/days (we are not young’s anymore ).

In general, all tour guides were friendly and easy going, with excellent knowledge of the Chinese history and they could answer to all our questions about the sites we visited, with good sense of humor…however, Sisi (Zhangjiajie) get a special place in our hearts …please let them know that we enjoyed their company very much!

The hotels were all great, with good service and facilities, and drivers were very professional and efficient.

We will definitely recommend your services…we have few friends asking already and we will tell them to contact you.

First of all, thank you very much for the great job in planning our trip. We just returned home on Sunday and everyone had a great time sightseeing and enjoyed the tase of local cuisines. The transportation and hotels you've arranged were also excellent. Thank you again.

Now that we've had such a great time, everyone is looking forward to another China trip. We'll be taking a cruise in March of next year in Shanghai and would like you to help us with a post cruise tour. We would like to cover Hangzhou, Suzhou and Nanjing; plus Xiamen if time allows. Right now, we have six people confirmed but may increase to 8 again. Please help us with the details with suggestion for sightseeing and other activities. As in the previous trip, we would like to travel by bullet train if available (the Magnetic-levitated train experience would be great).

Time flies we are now on our last day in China. A few guides who I would like to highlight as exceptional are Mei (Kashgar), Jessica (Huangshan), Alice (Dali) and Anna (Shangrila). They are knowledgeable, good command of English, always cheerful and helpful. and provide above and beyond expectations. Alice and Anna done very good in their approach. They would give a brief introduction of places we were going and then elaborate when arrived. This set our expectations and then understanding of the places. All drivers are fine but Mr Wang from Guilin sets a very high standard.

Of course not forgetting your exceptional service as well throughout our 1 month stay in China. We escaped typhoon twice in Shanghai!

We have very good time in China from 01/06/24 to 19/06/24. But it is a little bit exhausted after hiking through ZhangJiaJie. The best of all tour guides are Linda and Peter. These two tour guides show their ability to communicate with us. They care and respect us. In overall I would recommend China Discovery to relatives and friends for any upcoming China tour. We are happy for China Discovery to use our photos.

our bullet train back to Hong Kong which was comfortable and fast. Our tour guide Matt waited until we boarded, to be sure we were on the right train. Nice service!

Since this was my first trip to Hong Kong, I really appreciated the service of this tour company (Dec. 4-7, 2023) and you are wonderful! Mr. Wang answered questions in a timely manner and was always courteous and patient! I would definitely work with him again!

As well as Hong Kong, I really wanted to visit the new modern city of Shenzhen, and China Discovery provided the visitor passport needed to cross the border. I found this very helpful and convenient.

Our flight into Hong Kong had been delayed by about 2 hours, but our driver waited for us at the airport. Such a relief having an airport pick-up!

The Hong Kong hotel was in a convenient walkable area with shops, restaurants, taxis and metro a block away. The hotel in Shenzhen was modern and clean, with nearby Starbucks and food shops.

We had great tour guides, very interesting, knowledgeable, and patient- Eddie (HK) & Matt (Shenzhen). The drivers and cars were excellent and they always provided bottled water for us. We always felt well-cared for, safe and comfortable. Pick up times were perfect.

I loved our tour around Hong Kong Island, from Victoria Peak in the north to to Stanley Market in the south. Did not have time for lunch, which would have concluded the day nicely, but we did have a fun short water-taxi ride in Aberdeen.

In Shenzhen, we enjoyed going up the highest building in China, and visiting the factory-turned-Art Gallery mall. We had a lovely lunch there in the garden, then on to the cultural village with mini famous buildings, ethnic group dances and music, and the spectacular Horse Show! So entertaining and exciting! I think we could have fit one more visit to another site, before heading to a shopping mall

You arranged our bullet train back to Hong Kong which was comfortable and fast. Our tour guide Matt waited until we boarded, to be sure we were on the right train. Nice service!

It was a pleasure working with this tour company, with you, and each tour guide and driver! I highly recommend this tour, and tour company.

Everything went smoothly with totally no glitches - the prompt pickup and dropoff at the airport and train station, the beautiful hotels that you booked for us with hassle-free check-in/check-out service, the visits to the interesting tourist attractions, the great lunches (portions are huge!), our first ride on the HSR and the therapeutic cruises along Pearl River and Li River.

江师傅 is a safe driver. He is always early when picking us up and offers very good suggestions of places to shop and eat. 江小姐 is friendly and approachable and extremely knowledgeable. They both took very good care of me and my husband.

The hotel staff was very helpful when we requested her to show us the way to CityNote Hotel Beijing Road Dafosi Park Metro Station. She kindly walked us (as we draged our luggage across roads) almost to the hotel front.

This is a very short customised arrangement during which the China border is not fully opened yet.

China Discovery charges a premium though, but it delivered without fail.

The VOA is very new to even the custom officers who were on duty when I cleared the immigration check at Shenzhen as well as the HK side. I must say that the agent did his professional service by always on the call to allow on-site changes of my arrival time because immigration clearance was so unpredictable. I can be assured that someone is just outside the arrival hall to pick me up and, I could tell the immigration officer that my local contact person is just waiting outside to pick me once I am cleared with this new procedure.

It is always safer to have a local contact to guide you and make arrangements for your local transfer when language ( Cantonese instead of Mandarin) is a problem in China .

Transportation Services: Overall transportation services were good quality, the size, type of vehicle and driver were good and that's the kind of service I was expecting. Really appreciate your fast response when we needed to arrange transportation services from one day to another. Having you as a WeChat contact made the difference. The most important thing was that every single time the driver and vehicle was on time and with a printed sign with my name on it. I appreciate you having my flight information and taking care of times, arrival information etc. This worry-free experience is very important to me. The only not so positive thing to share was maybe not related to you or the driver but the two times we were picked up at the airport we had a long walk to reach the vehicle. When you are traveling with large group of people, many kids and a lot of lugagge this is difficult.

Tour in Shanghai: I have nothing but positive things to say about the guide. Her knowledge about the places we visited were amazing she had a vast amount of information to share, every single detail about the places we visited she mastered the details and we as a tourist value this a lot. I appreciate that you understood my VIP request travel to the river. When we get there we had a special place on the boat that made the difference. My people were pleased with this. Please recognize the work the guide did that day, working with a large group of latin american people including kids is difficult I admit but she was so kind and professional that I admire her. Even when we were in the bus driving to our destination she was sharing so many facts about Shanghai that we gladly received.

Just wanted to thank you for an amazing trip to China. We LOVED it! The itinerary we planned was perfect, the hotels were fantastic and really 5 star! The food was terrific, we ate everything. We were also so happy to find our parents villages.  

What really made our trip was the fantastic guides we had in all our locations! We learned so much from them not only about the sights we saw but also what their lives were like.  Please send my deepest gratitude and appreciation to Jack (Guangzhou), Shannon (Chengdu), Timo (Xian) and Mark (Beijing).

Our drivers were also wonderful and on time every where we went. My only concern was the driver at Chengdu.  He was very tired driving us back from Leshan and I caught him a couple of times closing his eyes.  That was a bit scary.  

I would definitely give you and China Discovery 5 stars! Our only complaint (more of a surprise) was the difficulty in getting our Shanghai Disney tickets, but in the end it all worked out. I have included some photos for you. I will be recommending you and your agency to all my friends.

Hi Wendy - Tara and I just got home last night. Thank you again for arranging a great trip for us. Here are are a few comments:

What we really appreciated:

the great guides…while we weren’t able to submit a feedback form for Mamie in Changsha, we felt she was very experienced, and enjoyed her thoroughness

the way the guides accompanied us into the airport to make sure we got our tickets. the flights you booked for us, particularly the great seats at the front of the plane. the hotels were also good - we recommend the Crowne Plaza in Changsha (over the Pullman), which has a fabulous breakfast. we had a great, experienced driver in Chengdu, who put in a long day getting us back to Chengdu from Emei Shan

What could be improved:

it would be nice to include evening entertainment in the itinerary (or at least offer it as an option) - we were interested in seeing the evening performance in Chengdu and the ethnic minority show in Zhangjiajie, and the guides were kind enough to help get us tickets

the cable car at Zhangjiajie was closed for the month of November, so we were not able to visit Huangshi Village or the Golden Whip Brook - as a result, the day’s activity was very short, and we ended up arranging a separate tour of the glass suspension bridge (at our own cost)

the last day in Zhangjiajie was short; to fill up the time, the guide was kind enough to take us to a shopping mall

the van in Zhangjiajie was not as new/modern as the vans in the other cities (however, we really liked the driver)

In addition to Mamie’s experience, we loved Ruby’s exuberance (in Chengdu) and Tony’s vitality and personality (in Zhangjiajie).

Tara may have additional feedback. By the way, she had problems using her gmail account for email in all the cities (except for Guangzhou).

1. The Hong Kong Inline Hockey Team was very happy with their private escort service to and from the hockey rink during their visit to Shunde to compete in the Greater Bay Inline Hockey League. Highly recommended.

2. Our travel arrangements were catered specifically for our sports team; the willingness to completely accommodate our schedule was much appreciated!

Now we have recovered from jet lag and are back to our “normal” working schedule :-).

I have attached a brief summary of our comments for the China Tour.
In addition, we want to thank you and want you to know that we appreciate all your help from beginning to the end on this tour. You were very accommodating, patience, and follow up with every step of the trip. The selection of guides were excellent. (It was important to us that they spoke good English.)  We find it to be very helpful when the guides pick up on time at each airport and each drop off at the airport check in was a big plus.  As for the confusion at the Xian airport pick up, it could have been prevented, if the guide would have reconfirmed the flight change.  All the drivers in each city were excellent.  At no time did we feel not safe with the excellent driving skills in the crazy congested traffic.  The van cars provided were very comfortable.

Thank you for the Guangzhou driver/car.  Mr. Wen was very much on time to pick up at the hotel.  Unfortunately, we had no addresses of whatsoever with our ancestral villages.  Fortunately, we did have an address of the Taishan hospital where one of our relative work as a surgeon.  On that particular day, his father had a fall and he was at the hospital.  The day before he was in USA, and the day after our day of visit he would have been off.  Anyway, he was kind enough to cancel all his hospital appointments and show the driver exactly how to get to my husband and my village easily.  It was an amazing lucky day for all of us!  Otherwise, we would have been just driving around the villages.  Our ancestral houses were not easy to find.  It was a very long day, but a very productive one.

Isabel, if you should have any additional questions that I may not have covered, please let me know.  Our family had a wonderful trip and our grandson (8years old) was a very good traveler; it was a little hard for him with so much walking.  in general, he did very well.  I told him he is not a tourist, but graduated to a traveler who can expect the unexpected.  And he has continue to learn to think "outside of the box.”  We are very proud of him.

We definitely will recommend you and China Discovery to our friends who are interested in traveling to China.  We are also looking forward to work with you again in any future upcoming trip to Asia.
