I took the 5D/4N Yangtze River Cruise. It was my first cruise of any kind. I was traveling alone but I live in China so I felt comfortable traveling alone. The trip was delayed more than a year due to Covid issues. But I was finally able to make the trip in March 2023, Por the past year Leo has been helping me with the arrangements. He always responded quickly to my many questions. The ship straff took very good care of me, even though I was the only native English speaker on the ship. This included everything on the ship and all the off ship experiences. I was on the CEntury Glory cruise ship. The ship is designed for up to 650 passembers but there were only 150 on my trip up river. From my perspective this was a pluse because it allowed me access to do anything I wanted to do without conflict with other passengers. Passengers should be prepared for walking and stairs on all the off ship experiences. Because the ship was largely Chinese passemgers, the food was mostly Chinese but there were still adequate western food offerings. So this cruise convinced me that I can do this again if there is a cruise that is matching my interests. Teh March/April weather was perfect for both on ship and off ship activities.

Rachel Grant’s Panda Volunteer Experience in Dujiangyan
The distinctive black and white animal is a national treasure in China and one of the rarest, most endangered bears in the world. A one-on-one encounter with a giant panda is a bucket list highlight and a must-do when you are in China. The time I spent witnessing such human dedication is truly eye-opening...
