My husband has always wanted to stay in a yurt, so we decided to book a tour of Inner Mongolia this summer. We submitted an enquiry through the China Discovery website, and the travel consultant was amazing, super patient and helpful, and very accommodating. They answered every question we had promptly, which was very reassuring when we were deciding on other aspects of our holiday, such as dates, flights and visas. The tour itself was a private one with a driver and a tour guide; it was very well organised and we had an incredible time. Our driver was very patient and helpful with the luggage, and he was a very calm and competent driver throughout. Our tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable about Inner Mongolia, very passionate and very helpful. She was absolutely spot on with all her recommendations. The hotels were well-chosen, in convenient locations. Highlights for us include: the volcanoes, the bonfire party on our first night on the grasslands, the spectacular show at Huanghuagou, and camel riding and sand sliding in the desert. This tour was worth every penny; it gave us the opportunity to visit places and take part in activities that we would not have been able to experience on our own. We would absolutely recommend China Discovery to anyone who is thinking about booking a tour anywhere in China, and we're also considering taking part in more tours with them in the future.
