We travelled in a group of 6 on an 18-day trip to some of the cities on the Silk Road, covering Xian, Lanzhou, Zhangye, Badain Jaran, Dunhuang, Turpan, Urumqi and Kashgar. Leo Li was our travel consultant; he helped us plan the itinerary and arranged all the local guides, tours, accommodation and transport connections (road, rail and air) for our private tour.

Leo was excellent. He was patient and attentive when we were working out the details with him during the planning stage. During the trip, he was always contactable and responded quickly to our queries or feedback. He coordinated well with the local guides and made good “service recovery” on the few occasions when arrangements on the ground did not turn out as we expected .

The Silk Road trip itself was a wonderful experience of history, culture and nature. It was a trip of contrasts - from desert one day to an icy lake the next, from ancient Buddhist grottoes to modern Muslim bazaars. Thanks to Leo, we had a hassle-free trip in which we could enjoy the wonderful mix of diverse sights and sounds of the Silk Road. Would strongly recommend Leo and ChinaDiscovery !
