Take a high-speed train in Xiamen and get to Longyan city first. There are more than 35 high-speed trains leaving from Xiamen Railway Station or Xiamen North Railway Station and arriving at Longyan Railway Station everyday. The whole journey takes less than 1.5 hours. Then transfer to Longyan Bus Station and take the special bus line to Yongding Hongkeng Tulou Cluster. (Every hour from 7:00 ~ 17:00, there will be buses departing from Longyan Bus Station and arriving at Yongding Hongkeng Tulou Cluster)

Longyan Railway Station

Longyan Railway Station, near the city center, has a very convenient transportation system, can easily reach by taxi, bus and motorcycle, etc. It’s about 3 km from Longyan Bus Station. Visitors can transfer from train station to bus station by taxi within 20 minutes. There are trains to/from Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Kunming, Chengdu, Guiyang, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, etc.

Option 2: Xiamen - Yongding - Hukeng Tulou Cultural Village

There is a small station in Yongding and everyday with only two normal trains (train travel takes about 3.5 hours) from Xiamen to Yongding in the late afternoon. Independent travelers can buy a ticket to Hukeng Tulou Cultural Village when you reach Yongding Bus Station. Buses to Hukeng Cultural Village depart every 40 minutes.

The Hongkeng Tulou Cluster (Folk Cultural Village) in Hukeng town is about 4km away from Gaobei Tulou Cluster and Chengqilou, about 5km away from Nanxi Tulou Cluster and more than 40km away from Chuxi Tulou Cluster. There is no tourist bus running between each spots.
