Seldom visitors plan Huaan as the first stop of a Fujian Tulou tour. However, if you truly want to visit Hua’an Tulou first, you can take a bus from Xiamen Fanghu Passenger Transportation Center to Hua’an Coach Station for about 2.5 hours and then transfer by a local car or a through coach to Dadi Tulou or Shangping Tulou for about 20-30 minutes.

Visitors can take a bullet train from Xiamen to Nanjing County for about 30-50 minutes and then take a bus or hiring car to Nanjing Tulou (Tianluokeng or Yunshuiyao) for another 1 hour.

There are only two direct normal K trains from Xiamen to Yongding County but departs at late afternoon. For travelers planning to take a train from Xiamen to Yongding Tulou, you can take a bullet train from Xiamen Railway Station or Xiamen North Railway Station to Longyan City for about 60-80 minutes and then transfer to Yongding Tulou tourist area by hiring local car for about 1.5-2 hours. Also, buses are available but need not easy transfers.
