1. What is best time to travel to Yichang?

It is very pleasant and comfortable to visit Yichang in spring and autumn, warm but not as hot as summer, and not too much rain. If you want to escape the heat, it is good to take a cruise on the cool Yangtze River. If you want to see the snowcapped scenery along Yangtze, just visit in winter time.

2. How to spend a day in Yichang before I take the upstream cruise?

There are some tourist sites in Yichang that you could visit, like Yichang Museum, Chinese Sturgeon Museum, Sanyou Cave etc. It is highly recommended to book the Yichang day tour together with your Yangtze River Cruise. For the Yangtze tour package is all inclusive, therefore, there is no need to worry about the transfer to the Yichang port for your cruise.

3. How can I get to Zhangjiajie from Yichang?

Warm tip: If your cruise arrives in Yichang around 12:00, the time is a little bit tight, please just get to Yichang East Railway Station directly to catch the train.

4. How can I get to Guilin from Yichang?

Sorry, there is no direct train or flight to Guilin from Yichang. You could get to Wuhan and then take the flight to Guilin. Or you take the train to Liuzhou first and take the bus to Guilin. It spends about 15 hours by train.
