Yangtze Explorer Cruise Itinerary & Route Map 2024
There are three routes that Yangtze Explorer operates in 2024, including the classic downstream route (Chongqing to Yichang) and two upstream routes (Yichang to Chongqing) to Shennongjia Natural Reserve and Badong Park. If you decide to take an upstream cruise, take care to choose the date based on the attractions you are fancy for.
Notice: All upstream runs of Yangtze Explorer (to Wuyuan Cave and to Shennongjia) do not include visiting the Three Gorges Dam Site. So, if you decide that's the place you would like to explore, don't choose Yangtze Explorer. Otherwise, the cruise will offer you the most exploratory and meaningful journey with super-5-star one-to-one private service and onboard enjoyments.

The itineraries, ports, departure & arrival time, shore excursions listed above are subject to change according to the weather, river condition and permission from the navigational authorities. Besides, activities onboard, dining and entertainment options vary and are subject to change.
2. Shore Excursions
The Yangtze Explorer cruise company will usually arrange three shore excursions during the whole cruise between Chongqing and Yichang. The ARRANGED shore excursions are included in your quotation, so you could visit the sites without extra charge. However, if you do not visit the sites, the fees of arranged shore excursion sites are not refunded.
As for optional shore excursion and show, travelers can decide to go or not based on your interests, real physical condition and budget. The optional sites will be visited depending on the number of travelers who want to go and the cost for the "Three Kingdom Open Air Show", "White Emperor City", "Three Gorges Dam Ship Lift", and "Tribe of Three Gorges" is 290 RMB/person for each. If you want to go, tell the reception desk who would register and arrange for you. If you decide not to go, you could stay on the ship to enjoy some leisure time. For your safety, you are not allowed to leave your ship on your own.
3. Meals
On the first day of embarkation, if you want to enjoy dinner onboard, it will need extra charge for the meal.
