Upper Deck or Lower Deck?

To help you choose a favorite deck on Yangzi Explorer, you can know more about the features of upper deck and lower deck.

Features of Upper Decks:

Cabins on upper decks aren’t always the best on the ship, but many Suites including Jade Suite and Mandarin Suite are typically located on upper deck. A major bonus of being near the top of Yangzi Explorer is the fantastic view. The higher the deck, the better and more panoramic the view. Besides, if you want to enjoy the sunshine or Three Gorges scenery on the sun deck, you might choose a cabin on a high deck (like deck 4). Moreover, if you would like to attend activities or go to the bar, you can choose a higher deck for some entertainment facilities.

Features of Lower Decks:

Lower decks (like deck 2) are close to areas of embarkation and disembarkation, as well as front desk, main lobby, main dining hall, so it shouldn’t be far to get to most places you’d like to go. If you are prone to very easy seasick (It would not be a problem for 99 percent of travelers ), you’d better choose a cabin at the middle of ship.

Upgrade your Room & Deck

Cabins are arranged from the second floor to the fifthth floor of Yangzi Explorer. The cabins are arranged at random and if have your own idea about the deck you want to stay, please tell us your needs once you booked the cruise with us and our cruise experts will deliver your needs to the cruise company and try to meet your demand.

If you want to upgrade your deck after checking in, you can tell your needs to the front desk and the staff will check the room availability of that time (except for Ambassodor, Jade, Mandarin, Celestial and Imperial Suites). If there is no room available, you need to stay the original room arranged. The upgrading service needs extra charge and please ask for detailed price at the front desk.
