President No.8 Cruise Ship

Hi, Wonder.

Ok, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the cruise - we upgraded the room which we thot was very good and very well maintained. Even the bath towels are of good quality!

Special mention to our guide Lawrence from the ship - he was assigned to assist us since he could speak English - he was very good and made sure we understood the detailed itinerary. We’re very glad that he was there to help us all along the trip!

We think the pace of the tours were good, and the processes and organisation for embarkation etc were very well thought out, planned and executed. We also enjoyed the narration when the ship cruised through the gorges, I think it was also Lawrence who read out the English descriptions of the cruise and the features that we were passing.

If there was one complaint, perhaps it was that there are not enough lifts in the ship and they didn’t go to the top floor. I think this is especially for older tourists like me!

1. Is your travel consultant of our company fast enough to answer your E-mail and patient enough to answer your questions?
Yes, Phoebe Gao was very responsive and helped me to join a spring Yangtze cruise from Yichang to Chongqing. She is very thorough and promptly and answered my numerous questions.

2. How’s the service of the President No.8 cruise during your whole tour?
The ship's staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the cruise director who was my English speaking contact. The buffet meals were delicious and had a good variety of choices.

3. Would you like to recommend our company?
I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and learned about the Yangtze River area culture, the magnificent dam and its ship locks. The tour company and cruise process are highly recommended.

Hi! Yanny, I am fine. My family is also fine. Glad to hear from you. I hope everything is fine with you and your family.

Thanks for the sharing of the information on the prevention of Covid-19 virus. It is definitely good information to follow. I am glad to know China is able to control the spread of Covid-19 and things are getting better day by day. Many other countries are facing challenging time include Malaysia where the number of new cases are increasing quickly daily. My government has to impose Movement Restriction Order (a bit like the lockdown in China but people still able to go out to buy things during the day but police have road blocks every where to check) to control the spread which I believe is the right thing to do. I look forward to the day where nobody will be infected by this virus and hopefully the vaccine will be make available soon so we can get protection from this virus.

Hopefully in a few more months’ time, the Covid-19 will be a thing of the past and we can travel again and definitely I will go to China again as it has so many nice places to visit.

If you do come to Kuala Lumpur, please let me know and I will be most happy to meet up.

Thank you for the mail received, I’ve meant to reply some time ago already, but unfortunately the days since our return from China has just been flying by.

Our trip was truly an unforgettable and amazing experience. 

Needless to say, to anyone living in China, that we have chosen one of the worst weeks in October to travel as it was rainy, cloudy, cold and just plain miserable but, this said, we still had an amazing time onboard the President No 8.  We were fortunate to be upgraded to two suites and this just made everything perfect...  The suites are amazing, we even had a sky light, right over the  most comfortable king size bed.  This really did not make getting out of bed in the mornings an easy task.

We have decided to take the exclusive dining package as this allows a little more privacy.  We could indulge in the most fabulous meals and allow meaningful and lengthy discussions with the best Changyu champagne till late in the evenings.  Something we don’t always get to do due to our busy schedules back home.

We have managed to go on all the excursions on offer, an excellent decision as the guides were all equally friendly and knowledgeable and the tours truly very memorable.  I can really not single out a single individual. 

I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Dear Riley,

We were very happy on your boat President 8, together with our Chines friend Aries Tu who booked the same boat later for herself and her grandmother.

Your organisation and food and tours were excellent. Thank you. And that we were together with a group from Austria at the same table was wise and made us new friends.

We updated our room in the 6 th top floor. On the boat Nina took care of us. She was very friendly and always helpful towards us.

At the moment, we enjoy the last days in Phuket before going home tomorrow.
