Cruise on Haihe River

As the Mother River and symbol of Tianjin, the 72-kilometer long river runs through Tianjin toward Bohai Sea. It will offer you some exciting moments to take a boat on Haihe River.

Now, it operates three sightseeing cruise routes with three ferry terminals - Ancient Cultural Street Terminal, Dabei Temple Teminal, and Tianjin Railway Station Terminal. The cruises are available during 09:00-16:30 at daytime; while 19:30-20:30 at night from April to October. Along the river, visitors could view 8 bridges and 10 attractions like Yongle Bridge, Eye of Tianjin, Shizilin Bridge, Haihe River Waterfront Terrace, Beian Bridge, Jinwan Plaza, and Liberation Bridge, Dagu Bridge etc.

Hike on Huangyaguan Great Wall

Huangyaguan Great Wall is situated in the mountain area in Jizhou, Tianjin. It was originally built over 1400 years ago in the Northern Qi Dynasty and reinforced with brick walls in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1368 - 1644). The Huangyaguan Great Wall connects the Malanguan Pass in Hebei in the east and the General Pass in Beijing in the west with a total length of 42km.

Hiking the wall will be the most recommended activities here. Visitors could hike only at Huangyaguan Pass or Taipingzhai (for 1 hour); or you can hike from Tiapingzhai to Huangyaguan Pass (for 2 hours). The Great Wall International Marathon is held on the third Saturday of May every year. Travelers could take different marathon races like a male and female marathon, a half marathon, a 5-kilometer marathon and 10-kilometer marathon.
