When reaching to Mount Siguniang by car or bus, the first destination is definitely Siguniangshan Town (altitude: 3600 meters). Most travelers would like to stay in Siguniangshan Town. You can get to the entrance of Haizi Valley by just several minutes’ walk or reach the tourist center of Changping Valley by car with less than 10 minutes. Special Experience - Camping or Rest in the Hut in the Valley

Changping Valley and Shuangqiao Valley allow travelers to camp. However the permit required for camping must be applied in advance and tourists need constant company by a local experienced guide during the trip. As always with camping and wildlife, show respect for nature, locals and environment. Be tidy, take rubbish with you, and leave your camp site as you never had existed.

Camping in Changping Valley:

There are two frequently used campsites in Changping Valley, Muluozi Campsite and Chazigou Campsite. Muluozi Campsite is 15km from the Lama temple, Chazigou Campsite is about 14km from Muluozi Campsite, would take 7-8 hours to cover the distance.

Camping in Haizi Valley:

Haizi Valley is the entrance to climb up the Dafeng and the Erfeng. Beyond the board walk the path leads to Dafeng and Erfeng summit, en route there are campsites. Guozhuanping is 7km from the entrance and you can reach there by 2 hours. Following this are Dahaizi and Huahaizi campsites, about 4-5 hours from the entrance. The campsites are at Dahaizi and Niuyuanzi.

There are also huts available in Haizi Valley and Changping Valley. While hiking instead of bringing your tent, you can also consider using their huts. For travelers who want to use huts while hiking, bringing sleeping bags with you is necessary. In the huts there are only basic bunks and a shelter. So you are also recommended to bring some warm-keeping stuffs with you. On the way to the summit of Dafeng, there is hut available at Daojianbao (half-day walking from Siguniangshan town) and base camp. It costs 100 yuan per person for using the bunk for a night. It is a good shelter comparing to your tent in bad weather.
