How to Get to Xiling Snow Mountain from Chengdu

During hot seasons (from November to April) in Xiling Snow Mountain, there will be more tour bus shifts, you might catch the bus at Niuwangmiao Station (牛王庙站), Southeast Finance College Station (西南财大站), Kuanzhai Alley (宽窄巷子) in Chengdu or Dayi county (大邑县). There are at least 3 buses head to Xiling Snow Mountain every day, the buses will leave stations in Chengdu at 7:00 in the morning and departure from the parking lot in Xiling Snow Mountain at 5:00 in the afternoon.

Indirect Bus

If you missed the direct bus, you can take buses from Chadianzi Bus Station to Dayi County first, which takes about 2 hours. Then transfer to buses or cars to get to Xiling Snow Mountain, takes about 1.5 hour. There are plenty buses running between Chengdu and Dayi every day. Indirect bus transfer is not recommended, especially for foreign tourists, it’s a complex and time-consuming way.

There is no direct bus connected Chengdu Shangliu Airport and Xiling Snow Mountain, so if you want to head to Xiling Snow Mountain directly after get off the plane, the most recommended way is to book a private car service, we can pick you up anytime you want and send you directly to Xiling Snow Mountain within 3 hours.

Chengdu Shangliu Airport is the nearest airport to get to Xiling Snow Mountain. After landed, there are two ways for independent travelers to get to Xiling Snow Mountain. Most common way is transfer to Chengdu downtown and take buses there or you can take airport running shuttles to Dayi County (大邑县) first, then transfer to Xiling Snow Mountain. There are 5 shuttle buses running between Shuangliu Airport and Dayi County everyday and takes about 2 hours, then it needs another 1.5 hours to get to Xiling Snow Mountain.

Most visitors spend 2-3 days to enjoy the snow sceneries and sports on ice and snow at Xiling Snow Mountain in Winter. Since Xiling is only about 2.5 hours driving distance from Chengdu that offers convenient flights and bullet trains from other destinations, most people start from Chengdu. Besides, you are also recommended to spend another 1-2 days like many other visitors to have classic discovery of Chengdu to see giant pandas closely and enjoy all top Chengdu highlights and food.
