In 2017, it was the 20th busiest airport in China. Sanya Phoenix International Airport completed a reconstruction and expansion project on September 20, 2018. Shuttle Bus: Currently, there are two shuttle buses connecting Sanya city with its airport. Shuttle Bus No. 1 is from Sanya Phoenix Airport to Dadonghai. The operation time of this line is from 8:00 to the last flight of the day every day. The guest leaves within 15 minutes after getting on the bus. After 0:00 every day, the departure frequency is 1 hour and 1 trip. The whole journey takes 50 minutes and the fare is 15 yuan. Besides, Shuttle Bus No. 3 is from Sanya Phoenix Airport to Yalong Bay.
