Dear Echo,

Thank you for the quote. We have decided that there is not enough time to go to Tibet with my husband having to go back to work on August 4th. We will plan in advance to go in the October holiday.

Thank you for arranging an amazing holiday for us in Inner Mongolia. We had a fantastic time, particularly enjoying the Arxan area and the lovely cabin overlooking the forest and river that you booked for us.

I will contact you about Tibet and other trips in the near future.

Have a great day.

Kind regards,

Sandra

Here is some feedback on the trip (Trip notes):

Day 2 - this was the least impressive day. We went to see the Moriegele river bend which was very similar, possibly not as beautiful, as the many of the other rivers we saw later. We drove straight to Ergun wetland park which was one of the least impressive scenic areas and were at our hotel by 1pm. The hotel was ok but not great (understand that there was an unforeseen change). Ergun was not a very pretty city and it appeared there was nothing to do there (we asked the driver). We felt this was a not a great start to the trip and were a bit concerned. Luckily, everything got better from day 3.

Day 3 - loved the drive and the reindeer. We asked to go to the Moerdaoga National park but we now know why it was not on the original itinerary as it is not the kind of thing that adult foreigners like. Train was quite boring and loud and the stops were very pretty but too short. Shiwei was a lovely town but the hotel was quite dirty and the owner was very unfriendly. We enjoyed watching the sunset and then eating outdoors on the lively street.

Day 4 - the white birch forest was very nice, particularly the hike to the top (you should mention this so people don’t accidentally miss it) where you can see beautiful scenery all around from a high vantage point. The yurts were well situated and cosy. Sunset was beautiful. The bonfire party was not exactly what we expected but was interesting.

Day 5 - horse riding was beautiful and lots of fun. We loved the scenery’s and being deeper in the grasslands, away from people. It is quite pricy, you may want to mention this in future so people are prepared. Manzhouli hotel felt very luxurious and the city had a nice atmosphere.

Day 6 - matryoshka park quite interesting but many things were closed. Long drive but very scenic. Arxan town very pretty and the hotel was nice. Hot springs were so-so, not very natural. You could remind people to book tickets through hotel to get the 50% discount.

Day 7 - we really loved the Arxan scenic area! It was so beautiful and unspoilt. It was also very well set up and it really felt like you were in nature (no music blaring and not overly crowded). The pathway to the top of heavenly lake was under construction so we could not view it from above. We really liked 3 ponds gorge and shitang forest. The bus situation is a little bit confusing but we managed to get where we wanted to go. The wooden cottages were wonderful, perfect place to unwind and look at a lovely view after a long day. They tried to put us in one of the back rooms with now view but we asked to be in the front and they gave us one (you should try to ensure guests get a room with a view, much better).

Day 8 - we were supposed to go to azalea lake but ended up at camelback ridge instead, very beautiful! It was quite a long drive to the area so we did not have time to do azalea lake too as we had a long drive ahead of us back to Hailar.

Day 9 - perhaps some suggestions of things to do in the area would be helpful for visitors? We went to Hailar Forest Park which was actually a nice place to walk around
