2 Days Sanqing Mountain Resort Tour with Leisurely Hiking Request

Day 1Sanqing Mountain Arrival & Western Part Hike (L)

Welcome to the sacred Taoist mountain – Sanqing Mountain. Upon arrival, your tour guide and driver will pick you up at Yushan Southern Railway Station, Shangrao Railway Station, or Shangrao Sanqingshan Airport, and then escort you to the resort hotel near Sanqing Mountain to check in.

First, you will take Waishuangxi Cableway to ascend the mountain and then have an interesting visit to Immortal Drying Shoes (仙姑晒鞋). Later, hike upward to visit Yuhuang Peak (禹皇顶) with a height of 1556 meters.

Then, arrive at the Sanqing Blessed Land Scenic Area through Sunshine Coast Trestle, and you will learn about Taoist buildings and their layout. The unmissable attraction is Sanqing Temple (三清宫) which is enshrined with statues of Yu Qing, Shang Qing, and Tai Qing. It attracts numerous Taoist flowers to pay homage.

Next, walk along the West Coast Trestle which is the longest and highest trestle circling the mountain to witness the grandeur of Sanqing Mountain. If time and weather suit, you will have the opportunity to appreciate beautiful sunset scenery (about 5:30-7:00 pm).

Afterward, take the Waishuangxi cable car down to your hotel to have a pleasant night.

Fee Notice: The entrance tickets are valid for two days, but the cableway fee needs to be charged for each ascending or descending.

Arrival Idea: Sanqing Mountain is located in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. You can get there by domestic flights from Beijing (2.5 hrs), Xi’an (2.5 hrs), Chengdu (2.5 hrs), Guangzhou (1.5 hrs), etc. You can also get to Shangrao by high-speed trains from Shanghai (2.5 hrs), Huangshan (1 hr), Hangzhou (2 hrs), etc.

Day 2 Eastern Part Hike & Sanqing Mountain Departure (B, L)

After breakfast, you will visit the Longevity Park Scenic Area leisurely and immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere, admiring the attractions like Taoist Priest Worshiping the Moon (老道拜月) and Sea Lion Swallowing the Moon (海狮吞月).

Then, take a short hike to Azalea Valley (杜鹃谷) which has a wide field of vision and is a good place to camp. In late May, the valley will be carpeted with azalea blossoms.

After that, you will be taken to explore the most classic grotesque rocks including Oriental Godness (东方女神) and Giant Boa (巨蟒出山). Oriental Godness is like a young girl with long hair draped over her shoulders which is so vivid and true to life. It would be surprising to see the Giant Boa which has several transverse cracks but with a thin neck. The thinnest part is only about 7 meters in diameter. It looks like a huge boa out of the mountain that wants to go up in the air.

Later, pass by the Yuhuang Peak and enjoy the relaxing cable car ride down to the mountain foot. Your driver is ready to escort you to the airport or railway station to catch your flight/train to your next destination. Tour ends.

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in local hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
2. This price is subject to change according your traveling season, group size, hotel class, change of activities in your itinerary and possible fluctuation of currency exchange rate. If you want a lower price, you can get more people to join you, or use economy class hotels.
3. This price is only valid to March 31, 2025.
4. Reference exchange rate of USD 1=RMB 7.00. The final quote is based on current exchange rate. It may change according to the currency fluctuation, while the RMB quotation will be remained the same.
