5 Days Classic Mount Lu with Wuyuan Villages Tour Request

Full Itinerary Day by day

Day 1 Mount Lu Arrival (L)

Welcome to Mount Lu – a famous World Heritage Site and World Geopark! Upon your arrival, your local guide and driver will meet you at Jiujiang Railway Station, Lushan Railway Station, or Jiujiang Lushan Airport. And then escort you directly to your hotel in Guling Village and help you check in. The rest of today is free for you to relax and explore the surrounding part.

Arrival ideas: Jiujiang is only about 2-3 hours flying from major big cities such as Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Shanghai, etc. You can also get to Jiujiang by high-speed train from Beijing (5 hrs), Shanghai (5 hrs), Shenzhen (5 hrs), Guangzhou (5 hrs), Nanchang (1 hr), and so on, or from nearby tourist destinations like Huangshan (2 hrs) and Jingdezhen (1 hr).

Day 2 Mount Lu West Route Touring (B, L)

Today after breakfast, visit Ruqin Lake (如琴湖) whose shape resembles a violin and is surrounded by lush green hills. As you approach the lake, you are greeted by the crystal-clear waters. On a sunny day, the water sparkles like diamonds, while on a cloudy day, it takes on a more serene appearance. Then, you will walk through the Flower Path (花径) dotted with flowers in spring. Head to Immortal Cave (仙人洞), Lv Dongbin (吕洞宾) stone status is awaiting you silently. It’s said that Lv Dongbin became immortal in this place. Passing by Big Tianchi (大天池) and arriving at Dragon Head Cliff (龙首崖), you will witness the steepness and grandeur of Mount Lu. Discover Sanbao Tree (三宝树), which means three precious trees, with one ginkgo tree with the height of over 30 meters and two cryptomeria fortunei with the height of over 40 meters.

Afterward, you can visit two cultural and historical sites in the middle area - Lushan Conference Site (庐山会议旧址) and Meilu Villa (美庐别墅) to have a quick look at Chinese history. The villa was the former residence of Chiang Kai-shek, a prominent figure in Chinese history. At last, go back to Guling Village to stay overnight in Mount Lu.

Day 3 Mount Lu East Route Hiking - Wuyuan (B, L)

Start your morning by climbing over 3,000 steps to discover the Three Tiled Waterfall (三叠泉). You will have resonance with ancient people who wrote a masterpiece to praise its beauty and elegance. Then proceed to Lushan Botanical Garden (庐山植物园) which is the first scientific botanical garden in China to see the abundance and diversity of plants.

After lunch, take about 2.5 hours to transfer to Wuyuan which is dubbed as “the most beautiful countryside” in China. After you check in at the hotel, you can spend a wonderful night at Wunvzhou to appreciate the stunning light shows, firework shows, eye-catching molten iron throwing shows, or live-action performances. Have a nice sleep in Wuyuan to prepare for the villages exploration of the next day!

Optional visit: Five Old Men Peak and Three Tiled Waterfall both need to climb lots of steps which cost energy and time. If you want to visit Five Old Men Peak and your physical condition allows it, please discuss it with your tour guide.

Day 4 Wuyuan East Route (B, L)

First, you will head to Likeng Village which is featured with its bridges over flowing streams and a tranquil atmosphere. The houses are constructed primarily of wood and brick, with black tile roofs and intricate wooden carvings. Many of the buildings are three-story structures, providing a taste of the Hui-style architecture. It is recommended to visit Huangling Village in spring or autumn. When spring approaches, Huangling Village will become immersed in a sea of rapeseed flowers, while autumn is the best time to enjoy the Shai Qiu scenery. Once you see the full view of the vast golden gem of Wuyuan, you can't help admiring and shooting the spectacular scenery. Next, proceed to Jiangwan Village which is a national 5A level tourist attraction and an ancient village with a rich heritage of Huizhou culture.

Optional Visit : Xiaoqi Village is also a model village with well-preserved Qing Dynasty dwellings and alleys. Its ancient camphor over thousand years attracts lots of visitors. You can choose to visit Likeng Village or Xiaoqi Village according to your interest.

Day 5 Wuyuan North Route & Departure(B, L)

After breakfast, drive about 40 minutes to Sixi Village and Yan Village which have a history of over 800 years. There now retain 136 ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties which are mainly merchant houses and official residences. Paved with green stone slabs and surrounded by green fields, the villages are very suitable for a leisure walk.

Then proceed to Rainbow Bridge, the oldest lounge bridge in China which was built in the Southern Song Dynasty. It consists of six pavilions and five corridors with a total length of 140 meters. You will be amazed at its scientific design and beauty.

It's time to say goodbye to Wuyuan. You will be transferred to catch a train to the next destination.

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in local hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
2. This price is subject to change according your traveling season, group size, hotel class, change of activities in your itinerary and possible fluctuation of currency exchange rate. If you want a lower price, you can get more people to join you, or use economy class hotels.
3. This price is only valid to March 31, 2025.
4. Reference exchange rate of USD 1=RMB 7.00. The final quote is based on current exchange rate. It may change according to the currency fluctuation, while the RMB quotation will be remained the same.
