There are many taxies waiting at the airport, by which you can get from the airport to Hailar in about 20 minutes around. The taxi charges from CNY 20 to CNY 50 according to your arrival time (the fee is higher at night than in the day) and the place you are going to stop in Hailar. Sometimes, especially during the peak seasons like July and August with flocks of visitors to Hulunbuir, you may need to wait for a period of time to get a taxi. All the taxi drivers speak little English.

Every day from 6:30am to 21:30pm, there are also airport shuttle buses that can take you to travel between the airport and Hailar District. The buses run between the airport and the appointed Ticket Office (海拉尔民航售票处) in Hailar. The entire bus trip takes about 20 minutes and charges about CNY 5.
