The Sedan Chair is one kind of traditional transportation vehicle in mountain areas of Southern China, which mainly used to carry people and goods. It is made of bamboos, with two long bamboos tied up as a stretcher and fixed a chair in between. Two local men will carry the Sedan Chair, stops sometimes to catch their breath and rest the weights. Moving up and down as their steps, it’s quite relaxing and interesting by chair. Where to Find the Transport Service?

Since there are plenty of teams in charge of routes separately, travelers hire the Sedan Chair in main trails, in front and back mountain. For example, this special transport service is available in sections from Yuping Lou (Jade Scree Pailion) 玉屏楼 to Tian Hai (Heavenly Sea) 天海, Up Station of Yungu Cable Car (云谷索道) to Beihai Hotel, Xihai Hotel, Lion Peak, Beginning to Believe Peak, Paiyun Ting (Cloud Dispelling Pavilion 排云亭) and etc.

Once you are too tired, decide to take the chair in regions you don’t want to walk anymore, you need to call for a reservation. After you agree with the price, they will send a team to pick you up.
