Hong Kong is only 483km away from Guilin. Without direct trains connecting the two cities at present, the preferred transportation is by air which takes only 1.5 hours. Except for direct flight, it is also available to transfer from Hong Kong to Guilin or Guilin to Hong Kong via Shenzhen or Guangzhou. There are 3 daily direct flights commuting between Hong Kong and Guilin usually. If you fail to take a suitable flight, transferring in Shenzhen or Guangzhou would also be a good choice instead. Thanks for your message. Only Guilin Liangjiang International Airport support 72 Hour Visa Free Transit. If you want to visit Guilin without visa, you have take flight to Guilin instead of train.
