Day 1 Mount Huashan Hiking

You will start your adventure hiking from Yuquan Temple. Walk about 20 minutes to the entrance of Mount Huashan. Then climb the stone stairs uphill to Huixin Rock. This section is easy with good road condition, which still has to take about 2 hours. From Huixin Rock, the real serious hiking starts. The stairs become narrow and steep. You must climb with fully concentration, and hold the iron chains tight. It takes about another 2 hours to get to the North Peak. Take a rest for sightseeing. Then you will leave North Peak for East Peak, which takes about 2~3 hours. On the route, you will visit the Heavenly Ladders, Riyue Cliff, Canglong Ling, Golden Lock Pass. Spend some time to views the breathtaking landscape on the East Peak.

Tips: Usually, travelers firstly transfer from Xian which is only 120km away from Mount Hua. You can take a train or use our private vehicle transfer. Some travelers also get to Mount Huashan from nearby city Luoyang by High Speed Train transfer. Only 1 hour is needed to transfer between Luoyang and Huashan. Kindly notice you that the accommodation on the mountain is basic. There are only several guesthouses which have no private bathrooms or hot water supply for bathing. You'd better get prepared for it.

Day 2 Mount Huashan Hiking

Get up very early to witness the breathtaking sunrise landscape. Then hike about 1.5 hours to the South Peak. This section is very steep. The famous Skywalk is located on route. South Peak is the highest peak on Mount Hua. The landscape here is fabulous. After sightseeing, follows a leisure downhill hiking to the Central Peak, which usually takes about 30 minutes. The Central Peak is relatively lower, and many Taoist temples and buildings gather here. Then hike to the West Peak to take the cableway downhill to the foot of Mount Hua.

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in 4-star hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
2. This price is subject to change according your traveling season, group size, hotel class, change of activities in your itinerary and possible fluctuation of currency exchange rate. If you want a lower price, you can get more people to join you, or use economy class hotels.
3. This price is only valid to March 31, 2026.
4. Reference exchange rate of USD 1=RMB 7.00. The final quote is based on current exchange rate. It may change according to the currency fluctuation, while the RMB quotation will be remained the same.

The only small mix up was when we arrive in Shanghai, our guide was not aware of our changed air ticket and he waited for us at the wrong gate. But luckily it was in the same airport so he could come over quickly.

Everything else was smooth and great. Thank you.

For Zhangjiajie, we really enjoyed ourselves most over there. Especially we want to mention our Guide, Tim. He was the best guide we ever had from all our previous trips. He was very kind and patient with my elderly dad too. Very good service and always things even more comfortable by doing little things such as preparing tissues for our meals etc. Throughout our time in ZJJ, we felt like he was a family member. For the itinerary and journey, everything was well thought out too. *always make things even more comfortable.

Hotels in ZJJ are generally very good too.

But Tim really made a big difference in makingke the whole trip even better and enjoyable. He deserves all the praise.

For Shanghai, our Guide Mark was very knowledgeable with a lot of facts and history.

However, just want to point out that our hotel room has strong cigarette smell. But other than that everything else is fine.
