Zhaolin Park Brief Introduction
Zhaolin Park, about 450 meters from Harbin Central Street (Zhongyang Street), is the oldest city park of Harbin. It was firstly built in 1906. Then in 1946, It was renamed after the General Zhaolin Li, a great man in Chinese history who once made a great contribution in the Second World War.
Perched in the prosperous downtown area of Harbin City, Zhaolin Park is surrounded by towering Buildings. Locals enjoy their leisure hours here. Zhaolin Park displays two totally different natural landscape in its summer and winter. In summer, the park is covered by dense plants and plenty of flowers. It is greatly fun to have a walk here. Zhaolin Park Ice Lantern Show is one of the 3 main venues of Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival. Every year when the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival opens, Ice Lantern Show in Zhaolin Park will also say Hi to everyone in Harbin city.
In Ice Lantern Garden Party, you must be shocked by the ice world and lantern sea. Thanks to the high-skilled artists and craftsmen, the natural ice turns to fine work of art. These works are called "Unrepeatable Fairy", because completely different works will be displayed in the party. There will also be ice sculpture competition of undergraduates. After the competition, their brilliant works will be left in the park for tourists to appreciate.
You may know about Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, but know little about this ice lantern fair. Harbin Ice Lantern Show Opening Hours & Tickets
During the Harbin Ice Lantern Show (Usually from 5th, January to 17th, February), the opening hours of Zhaolin Park is from 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM. The time for ice lantern turning on is 4:00 PM. So it is advised to visit those ice lanterns at about 6:00 PM. You will take about 1 to 2 hours in it. The entrance ticket is free in the last ice lantern fair in 2019.
