Glass-bottomed Platform

The Glass-bottomed Platform is built by the side of stones atop the mountains. It is also hanging in the air above the tropical trees. While walking on it, you will see the lush plants under your feet. Orchid Valley is a natural tropical rainforest valley. It is the first spot of the park. If you want to try an in-depth hiking in the park, you must visit this site, because the entrance of trekking trail is hidden there. The in-depth hiking journey needs 2 hours around. The resort has altogether 210 villas dotted in the upper region of the rainforest, giving you both fantastic views of Yalong Bay and the park. Qianli Umbrella

Qianli Umbrella marks one of the tallest top of the park. This tiny site is built atop a stone, with steel bars fixed to the stone body. It only allows 20 people or so to stand on its platform every time. If you are lucky to get a place, you will be rewarded with broad panoramas of the surroundings. About several meters below this site is a cliff lake.

There are shuttle buses that go up and down the mountain between the four main sections of the park. Once you have booked the bus ticket, you can hop on the bus and get off and on at any stops you like. The first stop is Orchid Valley and the last stop is Glass-bottomed Platform.

The best way to explore the park is to take the bus to the top and hike down rather than the other way around. Besides, you are highly suggested to ride the bus to the top first, or you may be stucked by crowds. After the top sightseeing, you can ride the bus down the mountain and make stops at the middle sites for further exploration. If your energy allows, you can also hike up and down, which takes 2 hours for a single way up. In this case, you have no need to book the bus ticket.
