Day 1 Guiyang Arrival
Pick up in Guiyang - Transfer to Your Hotel
Welcome to Guiyang, the beautiful “City of Forest” and provincial capital of Guizhou! Upon your arrival, your local guide and driver will meet you at the arrival hall in the airport / train station and escort you to your hotel in Guiyang downtown. The rest of today is on your own to explore the cool Guiyang city!
Guiyang Free Time Idea:
You can go to visit Jiaxiu Pavilion, the symbol of Guiyang city with a history of more than 400 years. Standing on a rock on Nanming River, with two stone bridges linking, the wooden tower of 3 storey and 22.9 meters high is a must-see for visiting Guiyang. It is particularly appealing at sunset and night when the entire quaint tower is outlined clearly and ignited into orange and golden, against the dazzling night view of the surrounding modern skyscrapers of Guiyang city center! Take a nice walk along the river to enjoy the river wind and cityscape of Guiyang!
Also, you can walk to Cuiwei Garden at the south of the bridge to immerse into the rich elegant charm of the over 500 years old traditional classic garden with Jiangnan flavored courtyard and solemn temples. Roam in the garden to meet the quiet halls, pavilions, corridors, gardens, walls, rockeries, ponds, blossoms, bamboo forests, etc. linked harmoniously and interestingly for a traditional Chinese architectural and cultural savory!

Day 2 Guiyang - Anshun (B, L)
Tianlong Tunpu Village - Dragon Palace Scenic Area - Huangguoshu Town
After breakfast today, be driven about 1~1.5 hours to Tianlong Tunpu Village in Anshun City that is the most famous Tunbao (village fortress) in Southwest Guizhou. With all streets, walls, roofs, etc. are built with stones, this ancient town is also called a stone world for a different architecture admiration. And you will not miss to visit the special Tianlong School constructed also with stones under the emphasis on education of past villagers. Besides the buildings, walk around to savor the unique and traditional Tunbao culture there, which was left from Ming Dynasty more than 600 years ago under the special historical background of stationing troops. Thus, enjoy your moments meeting the local women with typical exquisite traditional blue costumes with fancy embroidery patterns chatting together or sewing, who are mostly the decedents of those armies. Walk along the stone streets to see lots of bright colored masks and enjoy the featured Dixi Opera which is a kind of drama kept from ancient Ming period with performers wearing masks, colorful long skirts and battle banners to encourage armies and frighten enemies.
Then, you’ll hop on one-hour drive to the Dragon Palace Scenic Area. Celebrated as "the world of Karst showcases all in Dragon Palace", this destination features a stunning array of caves, canyons, waterfalls, peaks, cliffs, rivers, stone forests, sinkholes, and underground rivers, all exemplifying the diverse beauty of Karst geology. Upon entering, you'll walk to the impressive Dragon Gate Waterfall, cascading from a height of 50 meters, making it the largest Karst cave waterfall in China. Next, you’ll ascend via elevator to Tianchi Lake, formed by the collapse of a Karst cave roof, recognized as the site with the lowest radiation dose rate in the world. This refreshing spot is rich in negative oxygen ions, promoting health and well-being.
Following this, you’ll board a boat to explore the First Entrance of Dragon Palace. Here, you’ll be captivated by the colorful underground palace adorned with uniquely shaped stalactites, illuminated by stunning natural lighting, resembling the magnificent crystal abode of the holy Dragon King from Chinese legends and myths.
After the visiting, your guide and driver will escort you to the hotel in Huangguoshu Town and help you check in. Have a good rest in Huangguoshu Town!
Day 3 Anshun - Xingyi (B, L)
Beipanjiang Bridge - Maling River Canyon - Wanfenglin
After breakfast, be driven to Xingyi for today’s trip filled with breathtaking natural beauty and engineering marvels. Your journey begins with a visit to the Beipanjiang Bridge which is a suspension-type elevated highway bridge, serving as a crucial link on the Guanling-Xingyi Expressway in Guizhou Province. This bridge spans 388 meters in length and stands 486 meters above the Beipan River Canyon, holding the distinction of being the first of its kind in China and the second in Asia. You will walk across the bridge along the pedestrian walkways on either side of the bridge, which are equipped with guardrails to ensure your safety. Standing on the bridge feels like walking in the sky, offering a breathtaking view of the deep canyon hundreds of meters below!
Continue your adventure after about 2 hours' driving (about 120km) to Maling River Canyon, known as the "Earth's Most Beautiful Scar". You will descend into the heart of Maling River Canyon by a sightseeing elevator to the bottom of the canyon. As you walk through the Tianxing Gallery spanning 1.7 kilometers, you’ll be surrounded by towering cliffs, calcareous rocks, lush greenery, and cascading waterfalls. This gallery is home to 13 magnificent waterfalls, including the Horses Roaring Waterfall, Pearl Waterfall, and Veil Waterfall, each ranging in height from 120 to 200 meters and width from 20 to 110 meters.
Then, be driven about 0.5 hours (about 20km) to Wanfenglin (Ten Thousand Peaks Forest), referred to as the "Museum of Karst Peaks". You will hop on a sightseeing bus and stop at viewing platforms to capture panoramic photos of the cone-shaped karst landscape and tranquil countryside views, especially the General Peak, Bagua Field, and Fuzi Field. Next, visit Lower Nahui Village nestled among the peaks, where you can experience the traditional lifestyle of the Buyi ethnic minority. Stroll through rice paddies and farmlands, and learn about the harmonious relationship between the local people and their natural surroundings.
After the tour, be escorted to your hotel in Xingyi for accommodation.
Optional Way down to Maling River Canyon: If you enjoy hiking and have a good physical condition, you can also follow the stone-step pathways decending to Maling River Canyon.
Day 4 Xingyi - Huangguoshu Waterfall (B, L)
Wanfeng Lake Scenic Area - Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area - Huangguoshu Waterfall
After breakfast, set out to explore the breathtaking Wanfeng Lake, the crown jewel of the Xingyi National Geopark and often celebrated as the "most exquisite landscape painting in the southwest". With a surface area of 816 square kilometers, Wanfeng Lake is one of the largest artificial lakes in Southwest China. Embark on a serene boat ride across the lake’s tranquil waters, where you’ll soak in the awe-inspiring views of towering karst peaks and lush, verdant landscapes. Don’t miss the chance to admire "Chinese version of Swan Castle" - the iconic Jilong Castle in the distance. Perched gracefully on the shore of Wanfeng Lake, this Gothic-style castle adds a whimsical, fairy-tale-like charm to the already stunning scenery.
In the afternoon, be driven about 20 mins (about 15km) to the Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area which is a remarkable destination composed of multiple geological landscapes such as solitary peaks, stalagmites, and stone buds, along with over 600 Buyi buildings constructed against the mountains. Centered around "water", this scenic area combines natural ecology with the Buyi people's traditional way of living near mountains and waters in harmony with their community. It serves as an expo park of Buyi homestays. Here, visitors can enjoy the unique beauty of the geological formations while experiencing the rich culture and lifestyle of the Buyi ethnic group through their characteristic architecture.
After the tour, proceed to Huangguoshu Waterfall by car for 2.5 hours (about 200km). Stay overnight near Huangguoshu Waterfall.
Day 5 Huangguoshu Waterfall - Guiyang (B)
Huangguoshu Waterfall - Doupotang Scenic Area - Tianxingqiao Scenic Area - Guiyang
After breakfast, be driven to Huangguoshu Waterfall, which is the largest waterfall in Asia. You will appreciate different views of the waterfall, especially go behind the waterfall and see how water starts dropping and touch the waterfall.
Visit Doupotang Scenic Area which is one of the shooting places of well-known TV series of one of the four Chinese literature classics - “Pilgrimage to the West”. Walk pleasantly there to appreciate the 105 meters wide and 21 meters high waterfall formed on the more than 100 meters calcific beach bar, which dumps from the top giant pool of 15 thousand square meters wide. As the waterfall always roars strongly during flooding period, it is also named “Roaring Waterfall”.
Next, take the sightseeing vehicle to have a close admiration of Tianxingqiao Scenic Area. Catch all its essences of Karst landscape to know why it is complimented as a fairyland of Karst ecology miniature landscape with different sceneries at different angles and idyllic environment of birds and flowers, water and mountain, forest and cave, etc. Here you will see the stone forest of 0.4 square kilometers grows on water with verdant undershrub and cactus, and meet the Beauty Banyan looking like a beautiful lady with graceful posture.
Then, take the sightseeing vehicle to see the iconic Huangguoshu Waterfall of 77.8 meters high and 101 meters wide. With such magnificent and shocking scenery, it is the No.1 largest waterfall in whole Asia and one of the most famous waterfalls around the world. Walk around the waterfall to admire its distinct landscape from different angles and feel its breathtaking roaring of falling into the 17 meters deep shoal. Besides, you will encounter with more inspiring places including the 134 meters dragon-like Water Curtain Cave behind the waterfall, more than 3,000 excellent bonsai displayed exquisitely in the bonsai garden, and more to feel the grand sight of the large scenic area.
After the visiting, your guide and driver will drive about 2 hours (about 150km) to Guiyang City, escort you to the hotel. Have a good rest in Guiyang

Day 6 Guiyang Departure (B)
