This awesome festival goes down at Zigong Colored Lantern Park (自贡彩灯公园). The theme last year was "Dream Light · City of Thousand Lanterns," promising a magical blend of reality and the metaverse. It wasn't just about lanterns; it was a whole experience with stories, games, and loads of fun. Thousand Lanterns City integrated gameplay such as lantern viewing, dining, and entertainment, cultural and creative performances, and online and offline interactions, creating a Chinese-style immersive lantern festival that combines storytelling and gamification.

The 29th Zigong International Lantern Festival

A pile of simple materials was made into lifelike shapes, given life and injected into the soul. The wisdom passed down by the Chinese people was poured into it, reflecting the unique aesthetic of the Chinese people. The innovative design of Zigong lanterns updated extraordinary imagination and constantly improved exquisite craftsmanship every year. I suggest traveling with family and enjoying the colorful lanterns together.

There were various themes covering everything. That year was the Year of the Rabbit, so there were many lantern exhibitions about the Year of the Rabbit zodiac. The main reason why I went to this year's lantern festival was that the sub-theme of this year is a game that I really like. The lantern festival brought the world and characters from the game to the real world.

The previous lantern festival themes were relatively single, but that year's themes were more diverse, attracting more and more young people. After three years of the epidemic, the lantern festival had also undergone innovation and continuous progress, presenting us with a perfect feast.
