How to Take Awesome Photos of Raffles City

Renown as an iconic landmark of Chongqing, Raffles City has become a hit that tourists must take photos with. So where and how to take wonderful pictures? There are four photography spots highly recommended to you.

You can take a nostalgic ferry from Chaotianmen Dock to get to Danzishi Dock (弹子石码头) near Chongqing Grand Theatre on the other riverside where you can take a panoramic picture of the whole skyscraper complex of Raffles City standing high into the sky, with the reflection on the surface of river water below especially at night when it's lit.

Or head for the 12th floor of Daronghui Building (大融汇楼) on Xinhua Road (新华路). There, you can record a futuristic scientific scene of a giant spherical building and the humongous Raffles architectural complex standing together as if having a glimpse into a new technologically advanced world.

Chaodong Road (朝东路) is another excellent photography site. The contrast between a dilapidated wholesale market, coupled with the bustling workers, and the modern giant Raffles, frames the past and future of Chongqing, and is a unique landscape of Chongqing. Moreover, You can also go to Baixiangjv (白象居) to take a photo of Raffles City behind the running Yangtze River Cableway through buildings.

Besides, if you want to take photos of uniquely interweaving light transit rails in Chongqing as well, you can go to Zengjiayan Station (曾家岩站) of Light Transit Line 2 to record S-shaped railways and the moment when two light rails heading for opposite directions meet with each other, against the backdrop of Raffles City in the distance. But on rainy or foggy days the distant Raffles complex will hardly be seen.
