Chongqing to Dazu: Bus, Taxi & Private Car

The one-way bus/train ride alone takes you more than 2.5 hours, let alone it may take you hours to find the right bus/train stations in both Chongqing side and Dazu side. There are about 9 daily bullet trains running from Chongqing to Dazu, including about 4 trains from Chongqing West Railway Station, 3 trains from Chongqing North Railway Station and 2 trains from Shapingba Railway Station. The trains arrive at Dazu South Railway Station after about 25-45 minutes.

After arriving at Dazu South Railway Station, you can hop on No.204 bus or No.206 bus to Dazu District Center Area first, and then travel to Dazu Rock Carving by taxi or No.205 bus. It takes about 2.5 hours from Dazu South Railway Station to Dazu Rock Carving by bus. You can also take a taxi to Dazu Rock Carving from Dazu South Railway Station directly. The taxi ride needs 1 hour around and about 150RMB.

Every day from 7:20am to 16:30pm, there are about 12 scheduled buses travelling from Chongqing Bus Station to Dazu Bus Station. Chenjiaping Bus Station has about 5 morning buses for the travel too. It takes about 2 hours for the bus ride. And once arriving at Dazu Bus Station in Dazu District Center Area, you can ask a taxi or catch the No.205 bus to visit Dazu Rock Carving. It will take you about half an hour if you choose the taxi and about one hour by bus.

Chenjiaping Bus Station Address: No 39, Shiyang Road, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing (重庆是市九龙坡区石杨路39号，杨家坪汽车站)
