Warm and Important Tip: Downstream Yangtze River cruise ships from Chongqing to Yichang usually depart from Chaotianmen Dock at about 21:00pm and you are required to board your ship during 18:00pm~21:00pm. Thus, we suggest the downstream cruises travelers to book flights arriving at Chongqing Jiangbei Airport before 16:30pm. For the upstream cruises tourists who want to catch flights at Chongqing Airport after the ship journey, you are suggested to book a flight departing from Chongqing Jiangbei Airport after 12:30.

The Chaotianmen Metro Station is still under construction now. At present, the closest metro station to Chaotianmen Dock is Xiaoshizi (小什字轻轨站) on Chongqing Light Rail Line 6. Walking from Xiaoshizi Station (小什字轻轨站) to the entrance of Chaotianmen Dock needs about 20 minutes. If you have more than 4 hours left before catching your flight or ship and looking for the cheapest way for the travel between Chongqing Airport and Chaotianmen Dock, taking Chongqing Light Rail trains must be the best choice. After arriving at Chongqing Airport, you can easily find Light Rail Line 10 there. Take a line 10 train to Hongtudi Station (红土地轻轨站) first, and then change to a line 6 train at Hongtudi Station (红土地轻轨站) to Xiaoshizi Station (小什字轻轨站).

Warm Tip: Walking from Xiaoshizi Metro Station (小什字轻轨站) to Chaotianmen Dock isn’t a good choice for the tourists with heavy luggage. The walking road between them is not straight and flat one, but with many turns and steps.
