Day 1 Chongqing Arrival

Welcome to the magical 8-Dimensional Chongqing! Upon your arrival, your local guide and driver will meet you at the arrival hall of the airport or railway station, and then escort you to the hotel at the city downtown and help you check in. The rest of the day is on your own to discover this city!

Arrival Ideas: At present, there are many international and domestic flights to Chongqing. Besides, you can take a bullet train from Chengdu (1-2 hrs), Xian (5-6 hrs), Kunming (4.5-6 hrs), Guiyang (2-3 hrs), Wuhan (5-7 hrs), Changsha (5.5 hrs), etc.

Free Time Ideas: Have a leisure stroll at Changjiahui on Nanbin Road, which is praised as “The Bund of Chongqing” with a great view of Chongqing skyline and the iconic Raffles City from the opposite bank. The night view from 20:00 is also attractive!

Day 2 Chongqing - Wulong (B, L)

Today, you will be transferred to Wulong County (2.5-3 hours' drive) for a nature escape to Wulong Karst Geopark, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2007.

Today's highlight is Furong Cave, “the underground artistic palace and a cavern scientific museum” and world’s unique karst cave to hold World Heritage status. Kickstart your journey with a breathtaking 10-minute cable car ride, which rewards panoramic views of the emerald Wujiang River snaking through the hills. Next, Venture inside the colossal 2,700-meter-long limestone cave created by nature for over 1.2 million years ago. You’ll be awed by more than 70 rare stalactite's formation types, resembling waterfalls, pillars, arrows, palace, pagodas, and so forth, illuminated by colorful lights or in their natural state.

After the visit, your guide and driver will escort you to the hotel at Xiannvshan Town (70 minutes' drive) and help you check in. The rest of the day is free on your own to enjoy the refreshing scenery of Xiannv Town!

Optional Activities (extra payment): Watch “Impression Wulong” night show with real landscape background of Wulong and folk culture charm of Sichuan & Chongqing regions. It is directed by Zhang Yimou, a world-class movie director and the chief director of the opening and closing ceremonies of both Olympic Games 2008 and Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing.

Day 3 Wulong - Chongqing (B, L)

After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel for today's exploration of Wulong Karst National Geological Park. Wulong Karst is well known for its giant dolines (sinkholes), natural bridges and caves, inscribed as a part of South China Karst UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. Besides, it is the shooting location of the globally famous movie “Transformers IV”.

First, hop on a sightseeing bus from Wulong Xiannvshan Tourist Center to the largest natural bridge cluster in Asia - Three Natural Bridges, where you can appreciate exceptionally high natural bridges with long stretches of deep unroofed caves. Take the sightseeing elevator down to the valley bottom to marvel at the magnificent Karst Mountains, miraculous caves, beautiful waterfalls. Enjoy your hiking passing Tianlong Bridge, Tianfu Official Post (shooting location of Zhang Yimou’s movie “The City of Golden Armor”), Qinglong Bridge and Heilong Bridge.

Then, take a sightseeing bus to Longshuixia Gap, a gap-style gorge and the important part of Wulong Karst. In this natural oxygen bar, enjoy 2 kilometers’ fun walking deep to the “core of earth” passing by One Line Sky, Dragon Pool Minoring the Moon, etc. and witness the steep cliffs on both sides, verdant original forests in the valley and mysterious waterfalls.

After the visit, go back to Chongqing downtown and visit the city landmark - Hongya Cave where 11 layers of traditional wood tilted houses overlapping against the mountain create an antique flavor and a stunning sight with neons at night. Enjoy your leisure walk there and take some beautiful photos!

Day 4 Chongqing & Departure (B, L)

Good morning! After breakfast, your guide and driver will greet you at your hotel to continue your Chongqing discovery.

First, head to the Three Gorges Museum, boasting an impressive collection of over 280,000 pieces of precious historical relics. This museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the Yangtze River, formation of the Three Gorges, and Chongqing City, from 3,000 years ago, to its war defense in the 20th century, and to nowadays as one of the four prosperous municipalities in China.

Step outside to appreciate the People’s Assembly Hall, renowned for its elegant classical façade and listed in the History of Architecture compiled in London in 1987!

Continue to experience Chongqing Light Rail Line 2 from Huanghuayuan to Liziba Station (15 minutes’ ride) with the beautiful cityscape of streets, bridges, flyovers, and Jialing River. Get off at Liziba to watch the unbelievable view of a train traveling through a 19-floor building, a successful demonstration of Chongqing’s urban design.

Then, go up to the open-air WFC Huixianlou Observation Deck of 339 meters high to appreciate the spectacular 360° Chongqing cityscape!

After the visit, your guide and driver will escort you to the airport or railway station for departure from Chongqing. Tour ends

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in a 4-star hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons. It will drop greatly if your group has 4 or more members.

4. This price is based on exchange rate USD 1=RMB 7.00. The final price will be based on the exchange rate in effect at the time of agreement with our quotation.

There will be some meals excluded in your itinerary as you like, and your private guide will be delighted to give you some suggestions and take you to the local restaurants to taste like Beijing Roast Duck, Xian Dumpling Dinner, Sichuan Hotpot, etc., if you are interested in local food tasting.

The only small mix up was when we arrive in Shanghai, our guide was not aware of our changed air ticket and he waited for us at the wrong gate. But luckily it was in the same airport so he could come over quickly.

Everything else was smooth and great. Thank you.

For Zhangjiajie, we really enjoyed ourselves most over there. Especially we want to mention our Guide, Tim. He was the best guide we ever had from all our previous trips. He was very kind and patient with my elderly dad too. Very good service and always things even more comfortable by doing little things such as preparing tissues for our meals etc. Throughout our time in ZJJ, we felt like he was a family member. For the itinerary and journey, everything was well thought out too. *always make things even more comfortable.

Hotels in ZJJ are generally very good too.

But Tim really made a big difference in makingke the whole trip even better and enjoyable. He deserves all the praise.

For Shanghai, our Guide Mark was very knowledgeable with a lot of facts and history.

However, just want to point out that our hotel room has strong cigarette smell. But other than that everything else is fine.

Lastly, both drivers in ZJJ and SH drives smoothly and safely too.
