Shanghai Lanzhou High Speed Train - Railway Map, Stations & Tickets
Shanghai and Lanzhou has operated the high speed trains and launched the first train on July 1st, 2017. The entire railway (combined Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway and Xuzhou-Lanzhou High Speed Railway) is about 2,077 kilometers long, linking Shanghai city in the east and Lanzhou city in the west in China. Since the train runs about 250km/h and travels for about only about 10.5 hours to cover all the way, it means people now are able to go between the metropolis and famous cities along Silk Road in one day. Moreover, this railway crossing east-west passes Shanghai, Jiangsu province (Suzhou, Nanjing), Henan province (Luoyang, Zhengzhou), Shaanxi province (Xian) and Gansu province (Tianshui, Lanzhou), therefore, this high speed railway is also a dreaming route for travelers to savor the tremendous number of splendors and culture in China.

Xian, the capital of Shaanxi Province, lies in the middle of China, about 1080km (671 miles) southwestern Beijing. Xian is the World Historical City. It is the starting point of Ancient Silk Road. 6.Tianshui - Location of Notable Maijishan Grottoes
Tianshui is located in the southeast part of Gansu, about 338 kilometers (210 miles) away from Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province. For travelers, most of them are attracted to Tianshui by the World Heritage site - Maijishan Grottoes, which is noted for its elegant clay sculpture art. The magnificent Maijishan Grottoes carved above the cliffs are honored as the Oriental sculpture art gallery. There are as many as 221 caves, 10,632 clay and stone sculptures and over 1,300 square meters of murals.
