Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, enjoys a good location in the central area of China. From there are many high speed railways. It is also a tourist destination always attracting thousands of tourists with its Shaolin Temple (in Dengfeng City of Zhengzhou) which is the origin of Chinese Kung Fu. After a trip to Zhengzhou, it is easy to take a high speed train to Shanghai, a modern city with frequent international flight and wonderful cityscape. Zhengzhou operates nearly 50 high speed G-trains and 3 high speed D-train to Shanghai. The G-trains takes 4 ~ 6.5 hours to get to Shanghai. The D-trains will cost about 9 hours.

Zhengzhou Shanghai High Speed Train Route Map
The high speed railway connecting Zhengzhou and Shanghai is about 986km (613 miles) and passes through Anhui Province and Jiangsu Province. There are some railway stations along the railway, like Kunshan South (昆山南) Suzhou North (苏州北), Nanjing South (南京南), Xuzhou East (徐州东), etc. But you won’t stop in every railway station. If your time allows, it is recommended to travel Nanjing and Suzhou and exploring their long history and local culture.

Zhengzhou East Railway Station (Zhengzhoudong Railway Station, 郑州东站)
Zhengzhou East Railway Station, located in No. 199 Xinyin Road, Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou City (河南省郑州市郑东新区新怡路199号), is about 20km to the city center and 12km to Henan Museum. You can get there by metro Line 1 easily. Besides, all of public bus, BRT and taxi are can be caught conveniently there.
Zhengzhou Railway Station (郑州站)
Located in No. 82, Erma Road, Erqi District (郑州市二七区二马路82号) in the city center, Zhengzhou Railway Station is an old railway station operating both high speed trains and normal trains. It can be reached by metro Line 1 as well as public bus and taxi.
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥站)
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is the main high speed railway station located in No. 1500, Mingui Road, Minhang District. (上海市闵行区申贵路1500号), about 20km to the downtown of Shanghai. It is easy to transfer between this railway station and Shanghai Hongqiao Airport – walking to the Terminal 2 or taking subway to the Terminal 1. Shanghai Railway Station (上海站)
Shanghai Railway Station is located in No. 303, Moling Road, Jing'an District (上海市静安区秣陵路303号), close to the city center. From Shanghai Railway Station, you can easily transfer to the top attractions (like the Bund, Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Museum, Nanjing Road…) in Shanghai by subway or public bus. It can be reached by metro Line 1, Line 3 and Line 4.
