Kunming to Chengdu High Speed Train Schedules, Fares and Stations
Chengdu and Kunming are charming tourist cities of southwestern China. Unlike Beijing and Shanghai that enjoy fast-paced life, Chengdu and Kunming are pleasant cities with low-paced lifestyle. Numerous attractions that different from any other cities can be found over the two cities, like the Giant Pandas and the Stone Forest. Currently, there are 8 trains travel from Kunming to Chengdu every day, including 2 High Speed G-trains and 6 normal K-trains. The two High Speed Trains depart from Kunming South Railway Station in the morning (8 :08/9:04) and arrive at Chengdu East Railway Station in the afternoon (14:40/15::39), while the K-trains are available from 9:00 to 19:40 and arrive at Chengdu Railway Station the next day.

Kunming Chengdu High Speed Train Route
The total length of Kunming Chengdu High Speed Rail is about 1112 kilometers (691 miles) long. Along the route, High Speed Trains may take a brief stopover at 13~14 stops. The only two High Speed Trains (G2886/G2888) stop at different Railway Stations along the way except Chongqing West (重庆西), Zunyi(遵义) and Guiyang North (贵阳北). Kunming South Railway Station
Location: Xiangyuan Road, Chenggong District, Kunming, Yunnan (云南省昆明市呈贡区祥园街-昆明南站)
Kunming South Railway Station is located about 3 kilometers away from the downtown area, 7 kilometers away from Dian Lack and 28 kilometers away from Kunming Railway Station. Convenient metro lines, airport shuttle bus, taxi and public bus service are available there, making it easy to transfer to the downtown area. High Speed Trains depart from there reach to Beijing, Shanghai, Guilin, Guiyang, Changsha, Xiamen, Chongqing, Nanning, etc. For High Speed Trains travel from Kunming to Chengdu, Kunming South Railway Station is the only available departure Railway Station.
Chengdu East Railway Station

Chengdu East Railway Station is the main High Speed Railway Station connecting with the nearby attractions like Leshan, Emeishan and Chongqing. Convenient Metro Lines, airport shuttle bus, taxi, public bus and long-distance coach service are offered there. High Speed Train Tips
Class of Ticket
Usually, there are three kinds of tickets are provided on high speed trains, Business Class Seat, First Class Seat and Second Class Seat. Second Class Seat is the most budget level you will share a row space with other passengers. And the First Class of Seat is more comfortable and quiet for those who prefer a good rest on the way. Book, Collect, Alter and Cancel
Foreign tourists can book train ticket online or ask help from ticket agency, or buy the tickets physically at the train station with your valid passport. One thing you should remember is to book the ticket as early as possible, especially in peak tourist seasons. After collecting the tickets, please read carefully about the train number, departure date and station to make sure you won’t miss the train. 1) Prepare your documents well (valid passport with China Visa); 2) Get to the right train station in advance; 3) Collect train tickets; 4) Read your train ticket; 5) Pass the security control; 6) Pass through Security & Luggage Checks; 7) Find the right waiting room; 8) Cross the ticket checking gate; 9) Get to the right platform; 10) Get on your train. Baggage Allowance
