The most convenient, quickest and comfortable way to transfer between the downtown area of Hohhot and Ordos city centers is by taking a bullet train. There are about 5 runs of bullet trains departure from Hohhot at both early morning and late afternoon. The whole journey takes 1.5~2 hours, and may stop at Tuoketuo Railway Station, Zhungeer Railway Station and Dongsheng East Railway Station in between.

Transportation: It’s about 2 km to the city center (about 10 minutes’ drive); about 5 km to Dazhao Temple (about 20 minutes’ drive); about 7 km to Inner Mongolia Museum (about 15 minutes’ drive); about 70 km to Xilamuren Grassland (about 1.5 hours’ drive).

Location: Nandian Village, Wantong Road, Xincheng District, Hohhot (呼和浩特市新城区万通路南店村)
Transportation: It's about 12 km (20 minutes by car, 40 minutes by metro) to downtown, 13 km (30 minutes’ drive) to Dazhao Temple and 80 km to Xilamuren Grassland (1.5~2 hours by car).

Location: Binhedong Road, Yijinhuoluo, Ordos, Inner Mongolia (内蒙古自治区鄂尔多斯市伊金霍洛旗滨河东路附近 – 鄂尔多斯站)
Transportation: It's about 7 km (20 minutes by car, 40 minutes by metro) to Ordos Ejin Horo International Airport, 7 km away from the center of Kangbashi District, 23 km (30 minutes’ drive) to the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan and 76 km away from Xiangshawan Scenic Area in Kubuqi Desert (1.5 hours by car).

Location: Sanxinggou, Dongsheng District, Ordos (内蒙古自治区鄂尔多斯市东胜区三姓沟)
Transportation: It's is about 14.5 km (about 30 minutes by car) southeast away from the center of Dongsheng District, about 35 km (40 minutes ~ 1 hour by car) away from Ordos Airport, about 50 km (about 1 hour’s drive) away from the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan and about 56 km (1~1.5 hours’ drive) away from Xiangshawan Scenic Area.

Besides bullet trains, there are also 5 pairs of normal trains transferring between Hohhot and Ordos every day from 06:40~18:00. The whole journey takes 3.5~4.5 hours. Normal trains may pass through Baootu city at Baotou East Railway Station or Baotou Railway Station.
