Dali Kunming High Speed Train Route

Dali Kunming High Speed Rail is about 328 kilometers long in total. For the convenient transfer of visitors and other people, the railway also passes the stations in Lufeng, Guangtong, Chuxiong, Nanhua, and Xiangyun. Altogether, there are 8 stopover stations along the way including Kunming South Station (昆明南站), Kunming Station(昆明站), Lufeng South Station (禄丰南站), Guangtong North Station (广通北站), Chuxiong Station (楚雄站), Nanhua Station (南华站), Xiangyun Station (祥云站), and Dali Station (大理站). Dali Railway Station (大理站)

Location: No.261, Weishan Road, Dali City (大理市新城区巍山路261号)

It is in the downtown area and a major railway station in this romantic city. From there, you can go to other famous attractions and accommodation places by bus, taxi, etc. with convenience. Usually, to go by taxi, it takes about 15-20 minutes to the city center at Xiaguan area, about 40-50 minutes to Dali Ancient City and Three Pagoda of Chongqing Temple, about 45-50 minutes to Longkan Pier and Caicun Pier of Erhai Lake, about 40 minutes to Cangshan Mountain scenic area, etc.

Kunming South Railway Station (昆明南站)

Location: Xiangyuan Street, Chenggong District of Kunming City (昆明市呈贡区祥园街)

As it is in the prosperous area with convenient transportation, especially metro system, it is very easy to transfer to most popular tourist places in this city. And the Metro Line 1 is available there. Usually, to the city center and Cuihu Lake area, it usually takes about 1.5 hours by Metro Line 1 and Line 2. And to the Western Hill, it will take about 1.5-2 hours in total.

Kunming Railway Station (昆明站)

Location: No.1 Beijing Road, Guandu District, Kunming City (昆明市官渡区北京路1号)

This station is built at the city downtown area. You can find many hotels of various kinds and restaurants. From there, you could take a taxi to Cuihu Lake for about 0.5 hour. To the Western Hill Park, you could take a local bus and transfer to Metro Line 1 and Line 2 for about 1 hour, which is similar to go by taxi. Usually, it needs about about 1.5-2 hours to the Stone Forest scenic spot by car. If you want to visit the Dongchuan Red Land scenic area, it will take longer time for about 3.5-4 hour by car.

Class of Ticket

On high speed trains from Dali to Kunming, there are two kinds of tickets are provided, including First Class Seat and Second Class Seat. Book, Collect, Alter and Cancel

Foreign tourists can book train ticket online or ask help from ticket agency, or buy the tickets physically at the train station with your valid passport. One thing you should remember is to book the ticket as early as possible, especially in peak tourist seasons. After collecting the tickets, please read carefully about the train number, departure date and station to make sure you won’t miss the train.
