Chongqing to Xian High Speed Train Route

Chongqing Xian High Speed Railway is a new and important route connecting the Silk Road area and Yangtze River economic zone together. The whole route is about 733 kilometers in length (about 456 miles), and passes Chongqing, Nanchong, Langzhong, Guangyuan, Hanzhong, Xian, etc.

Chongqing North Railway Station (重庆北站)

Location: No. 51 #8 Kunnun Avenue, Yubei District, Chongqing (重庆市渝北区昆仑大道51号附8号)

It is so far a top frequently used train station for high speed trains to/from/via Chongqing. To get there, you can take a taxi from Ciqikou Ancient Town for about 25mins, from Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Chaotianmen Port for about 30mins, from Dazu Rock Carvings for about 1.5hrs, and from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport for about 0.5hr, etc. besides, you could also transfer by the long-distance coaches, local city buses, and Chongqing CRT (Chongqing Rail Transit Line 3 and Line 10) from other places in Chongqing or nearby places. Chongqing West Railway Station (重庆西站)

Location: No.168, Fengzhong Road, Shapingba District, Southwest Chongqing (重庆市沙坪坝区凤中路168号)

his is a newly built train station with better environment and facilities in Chongqing, however, the public transportation vehicle there is not much convenient so far. To get this station by taxi, it usually needs about 20 minutes from Ciqikou Ancient Town, 40 minutes from Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Chaotianmen Port, 1.5 hours from Dazu Rock Carvings, 1 hour from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, etc. Currently, besides the taxi, more than ten bus lines, airport shuttle bus (K06 from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport) and are also available for you. Xian North Railway Station (西安北站)

Location: Yuanshuo Road, Weiyang District, Xian (西安市未央区元朔路).

Xian North Station is a large high speed train station of Xian, serving for more than 300 high speed trains to a lot of major destinations in China. It is about 20 kilometers away to downtown area and needs 1 hour to Terracotta Warriors, Muslim Quarter, etc. by car. To go from the station, you can take the Metro Line to the downtown area and Bell Tower for about 0.5 hour, and also, you can take a taxi to almost places you want in Xian city. Class of Ticket

On high speed trains from Chongqing to Xian, there are three kinds of tickets are provided, including Business Class Seat, First Class Seat and Second Class Seat. Second Class Seat is the most budget level you will share a row space with other passengers. First Class of Seat is more comfortable and quiet for those who prefer a good rest on the way. Book, Collect, Alter and Cancel

Foreign tourists can book train ticket online or ask help from ticket agency, or buy the tickets physically at the train station with your valid passport. One thing you should remember is to book the ticket as early as possible, especially in peak tourist seasons. After collecting the tickets, please read carefully about the train number, departure date and station to make sure you won’t miss the train. Baggage Allowance
