Jiuhuashan (Chizhou) to Shanghai Trains Schedules, Fares, Railways Stations

After a breathtaking visit about the brilliant culture and magnificent landscapes of the Jiuhuashan (Mount Jiuhua), you can back to the modern city Shanghai, where has more chance to have a unique Yangtze River Cruise experience and more convenient flight tickets to back your home. High Speed trains can take you from Chizhou (the city where Jiuhuashan located in) to Shanghai within 4 hours around. High Speed Trains depart from Chizhou Railway Station and arrive at Shanghai Railway Station or Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. From 2024, there are also 4 direct high speed trains from Jiuhuashan to Shanghai. All are the G-trains from 10:00 to 15:30 with about 3.5 ~ 4 hours.

Jiuhuashan (Mount Jiuhua) Shanghai High Speed Train Route

The Jiuhuashan Shanghai High Speed Rail is a vital section of Anqing (安庆) - Shanghai or Anqing - Wenzhou High Speed Rail. The total length of this part is measured for about 522km (324miles). High Speed Trains along the way make stopovers at 8~10 middle stops, including some popular tourist destinations like Suzhou (苏州), Zhenjiang (镇江), Nanjing (南京), etc.

Jiuhuashan Railway Station 九华山站

Location: Pailou Village, Rongcheng Town, Qingyang County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province (安徽省池州市青阳县蓉城镇牌楼村)

From 2024, Shanghai run the direct trains to Jiuhuashan, so Jiuhuashan Railway Station is currently the closest railway station to Mount Jiuhua Scenic Area. Jiuhuashan Railway Station is almost 20 kilometers away from Mount Jiuhua Scenic Area, which takes about half an hour's drive.

Chizhou Railway Station 池州站

Location: Yongming Road, Guichi District, Chizhou, Anhui (安徽省池州市贵池区永明路)

Chizhou Railway Station is the only available railway station in Chizhou, both normal trains and High Speed Trains make stopover at there. With a distance about 50km (31miles), travelers have to change the buses to get to the Jiuhuashan Scenic Area. There are tourist shuttle buses and public buses available outside of the Chizhou Railway Station. The former one takes about 40 minutes, while the latter one takes about 1.5 hours around. Taxi is also available there, but it is not recommended for the travelers who are in budget.

Shanghai Railway Station 上海站

Location: No. 303, Moling Road, Jing'an District (上海市静安区秣陵路303号)

Shanghai Railway Station, also known as Shanghai New Railway Station by the locals, is the oldest railway station in Shanghai. Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station 上海虹桥站

Location: No. 1500, Mingui Road, Minhang District. (上海市闵行区申贵路1500号)

As the largest and most popular high speed railway station of Shanghai, Shanghai Honqiao Railway Station enjoys convenient transportation location to the airport and the city center. From there, you can get to its nearby Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (上海虹桥国际机场) within 10 minutes and get to the city attractions like the Bund within 1 hour by metro. Class of Ticket

Usually, there are three kinds of tickets are provided on high speed trains, Business Class Seat, First Class Seat and Second Class Seat. Second Class Seat is the most budget level you will share a row space with other passengers. And the First Class of Seat is more comfortable and quiet for those who prefer a good rest on the way. Book, Collect, Alter and Cancel

Foreign tourists can book train ticket online or ask help from ticket agency, or buy the tickets physically at the train station with your valid passport. One thing you should remember is to book the ticket as early as possible, especially in peak tourist seasons. After collecting the tickets, please read carefully about the train number, departure date and station to make sure you won’t miss the train. 1) Prepare your documents well (valid passport with China Visa); 2) Get to the right train station in advance; 3) Collect train tickets; 4) Read your train ticket; 5) Pass the security control; 6) Pass through Security & Luggage Checks; 7) Find the right waiting room; 8) Cross the ticket checking gate; 9) Get to the right platform; 10) Get on your train. Baggage Allowance

China train travel with luggage is much easier than taking flight, for you don’t need to check luggage separately.
