Beijing West Railway Station is one of the five major train stations in Beijing, serving trains on Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway, Beijing Lhasa (Tibet) Railway and Beijing Kowloon Railway. It is located about 25mins’ drive to Forbidden City and 1 hour’s drive to Beijing Capital International Airport. Passengers can get to the station by taxi, bus, airport express (Line 7 from Beijing Capital International Airport) and two subway lines (Beijing Metro Line 7 and Line 9). Chongqing North Railway Station (重庆北站)

Location: No. 51 #8 Kunnun Avenue, Yubei District, Chongqing (重庆市渝北区昆仑大道51号附8号)

As one of the five main train stations in Chongqing, Chongqing North Railway Station is a huge comprehensive transportation hub with traditional slow trains, high speed trains, city bus, rail transit system and taxi. It primarily serves trains on Chengdu Chongqing High Speed Railway, Lanzhou Chongqing Railway and a few short lines with neighboring provinces. It handles a large number of trains (nearly 180 high speed trains) to domestic cities. From here, you can take high speed trains to Chongqing West Railway Station, Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Guiyang, Wuhan, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Wanzhou and normal trains to Beijing, Shanghai and Lhasa. The station is located about 25 mins’ driving to Ciqikou Ancient Town, 30 mins’ driving to Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Chaotianmen Port. Chongqing West Railway Station (重庆西站)

Location: No.168, Fengzhong Road, Shapingba District, Southwest Chongqing (重庆市沙坪坝区凤中路168号)

Chongqing West Railway Station, located in southwest suburb, is a newly-built big train station in Chongqing. It lies about 20 mins’ driving to Ciqikou Ancient Town, 1.5 hours’ driving to Dazu Rock Carvings, 40 mins’ drive to Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Chaotianmen Port. There are approximately 100 trains (most high speed trains and several ordinary trains) running from Chongqing West Railway Station to Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Kunming, Guiyang, Changsha, Qingdao, Nanjing, Tianjin and so on. Currently, taking a taxi is the most recommended way to get to the station. Also you can get there by taxi, or take a bullet train from Chongqing North Railway Station, which costs nearly 25 minutes. Book, Collect, Alter and Cancel

Foreign tourists can book train ticket online or ask help from ticket agency, or buy the tickets physically at the train station with your valid passport. One thing you should remember is to book the ticket as early as possible, especially in peak tourist seasons.
