Shanghai Nanjing High Speed Train Route Map
The railway between Shanghai and Nanjing is about 299km (185 miles). It passes through Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Danyang, Zhengjiang, etc. There are too many available trains, but not all the trains take stops in the same railway stations in route. Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥站)
Location: No. 1500, Mingui Road, Minhang District. (上海市闵行区申贵路1500号)
As the busiest high speed railway station in Shanghai, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station operates both 120 G-train and 27 D-trains to Nanjing (Nanjing Railway Station and Nanjing South Railway Station). Close to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, it offers quick access to the airport within 10 minutes’ walking. Besides, it also can be reached by metro Line 10, metro Line 2, pulic bus and taxi conveniently.
Shanghai Railway Station (上海站)
Location: No. 303, Moling Road, Jing'an District (上海市静安区秣陵路303号)
Shanghai Railway Station operates 64 G-trains and 5 D-trains to Nanjing. If you want to take a Shanghai Nanjing High Speed Train after a tight tour, you can choose a train from Shanghai Railway Station which is just located in the downtown area and you can quickly get to there after you visit the Bund, Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden etc. Both of metro Line 2, Line 3 and Line 4 can take you to Shanghai Railway Station. Nanjing South Railway Station (Nanjingnan Railway Station, 南京南站)
Location: No. 98 Yulan Road, Yuhuatai District, Nanjing (南京市雨花台区玉兰路98号)
Distance: 16km to Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum (about 30 minutes’ driving), 7km to Zhonghua Gate (about 20 minutes’ driving), 14km to Memorial Hall to the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre (about 35 minutes’ driving), 15km to Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum (about 30 minutes’ driving)
Nanjing South Railway Station enjoys a traditional Chinese style construction which combines the features of Chinese palace and some classic architectural elements. It is a major high speed railway hub in east China and a junctional terminal in Nanjing. In the railway station, it is convenient to transfer between two of high speed trains, subway (metro Line 1, Line 3, Line S1 and Line S3), long-distance coach, public bus and airport shuttle bus.
Nanjing Railway Station (南京站)
Location: No. 111 Longpan Road, Xuanwu Lake, Nanjing (江苏省南京市玄武区龙蟠路111号)
Distance: 11km to Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum (about 25 minutes’ driving), 12km to Zhonghua Gate (about 30 minutes’ driving), 11km to Memorial Hall to the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre (about 30 minutes’ driving), 12km to Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum (about 30 minutes’ driving)
Built beside Xuanwu Lake and Xiaohong Mountain, Nanjing Railway Station is honored as one of the most beautiful railway stations in China. Tourists can take Metro Line 1 and Line 3 to Nanjing Railway Station directly. Nanjing Long-distance Bus Station is situated in the east to the North Square of Nanjing Railway Station and it’s easy to catch a couch.
