Shanghai Hong Kong High Speed Railway & Train Map 2024

Latest notice: Currently there is also a night bullet train with sleepers available which departs in late afternoon from Hong Kong, arrive at Shanghai in early morning, which can help you save a day and some cost.
Shanghai Hong Kong High Speed Train Route Map
Shanghai Hong Kong High Speed Railway is 1,649 km (1,024 miles) long, and made up of three different segments: Shanghai-Changshai section of Shanghai-Kunming HSR (上海昆明高铁), Changsha-Guangzhou section of Beijing-Guangzhou HSR (北京广州高铁) and Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (广深港高铁). The entire journey is largely shortened from previous 19.5 hours to merely 8.5 hours now. Except the two world famous destinations - Shanghai and Hong Kong, the rail also connects beautiful Hangzhou, vital transfer hub - Changsha and Southern China gateway - Guangzhou, all 10 cities (3 midway provinces - Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Guangdong) for you to discover.

Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥站)
Operating about 500 daily high speed trains, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is the main high speed railway station in Shanghai. It is situated in No.1500, Shengui Road, Minhang District, West Shanghai (上海市闵行区申贵路1500号), about 20km to the center of Shanghai. Walking through a passage about 10 minutes, you can get to Terminal 2 of Shanghai Hongqiao Airport from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station directly. Metro Line 2 and Line 10 both pass through Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. Metro Line 2 takes stops in Xintiandi, the Bund and Yuyuan Garden as well. Read more about Shanghai Railway Stations>
Hong Kong West Kowloon Terminus (西九龙总站)
Hong Kong West Kowloon Terminus, located between Kowloon Station (九龙站) and Austin Station (柯士甸站) in central Hong Kong, is still under construction. It is Hong Kong’s only railway station which connects to the mainland China through a tunnel. Near this railway station, you can easily find good accommodations, restaurants, shopping malls and entertainment venues. From Hong Kong West Kowloon Terminus, it takes about 500 minutes to reach Hong Kong Disney Resort by Hong Kong West Rail Line, East Rail Line, and Disneyland Resort Line, about 1.5 hours to reach Stanley Market by Tung Chung Line and city bus, about 1.5 hours to Hong Kong International Airport by West Rail Line, Tung Chung Line and Airport Express.
