Kunming Dali High Speed Railway is actually an important part of the China Burma International Railway to connect Yunnan with some countries in Asia. The whole route between Kunming and Dali measures for about 328 kilometers long and passes the main cities including Kunming, Chuxiong and Dali for the daily transfer and the convenient tourist enjoyment of world travelers. On the way, there are in total about 8 railway stations, including Kunming South Station (昆明南站), Kunming Station(昆明站), Lufeng South Station (禄丰南站), Guangtong North Station (广通北站), Chuxiong Station (楚雄站), Nanhua Station (南华站), Xiangyun Station (祥云站), and Dali Station (大理站). Kunming South Railway Station (昆明南站)

Kunming South Station is one of the major high seed train station in this City of Spring. Located at Xiangyuan Street, Chenggong District, Kunming City (昆明市呈贡区祥园街), this station is in the prosperous area with convenient transportation to other places, although it is not at the city center where you can find most ideal hotels and the top popular attractions, the local Metro Line 1 can take you there with speed and convenience. To the city center and Cuihu Lake area, it needs about 1.5 hours by Metro Line 1 and Line 2. If you want to visit the Western Hill, it needs further transfer to the Line 3 and needs about 1.5-2 hours in total.

Kunming Railway Station (昆明站)

Kunming Railway Station is located at No.1 Beijing Road, Guandu District, Kunming City (昆明市官渡区北京路1号 昆明站). Being at the city downtown area, it is easy to go from there to your hotels and other attractions in this city. Usually, it needs about 0.5 hours to the city center by local Metro Line 2. If you transfer by local taxi, it needs about 30 minutes to Kunming Cuihu Lake, about 1.5-2 hours to the Stone Forest scenic spot, etc. If you want to visit the Dongchuan Red Land scenic area, it will take about 3.5-4 hour by car.

Dali Railway Station (大理站)

Dali Railway Station is a major train station in Dali city, which is situated at No.261, Weishan Road, Dali City (大理市新城区巍山路261号 大理站). From this station, you can reach many tourist places by local buses with real convenience. Besides, you can transfer by car with better experience and save time, and it usually takes about 15-20 minutes to the city center, about 40-50 minutes to Dali Ancient City and Three Pagoda Park, about 45-50 minutes to Longkan Pier or Caicun Pier of Erhai Lake, etc.
