Guangzhou Shenzhen high speed rail has been taken into service since December in 2011. Taking the fast bullet train, visitors could effortlessly transfer between Guangzhou city and Shenzhen city within about 29-56 minutes. Besides, to benefit and economic development and people’s traveling, over 100 daily trains are running from the around 07:00 to around 23:00. There would be one train departing nearly every 10 minutes, so you can choose either train to leave for Guangzhou or Shenzhen. And also, all your traveling, business meeting, visiting, etc. would be better to plan and do. Also, your idea of the delicious Cantonese food in the ancient Guangzhou is closer to the fantastic “City Garden” in the booming coastal Shenzhen.

Guangzhou Shenzhen high speed rail is measured for about 111km (about 69 miles) long in total, which is from Guangzhou South Railway Station to Shenzhen Futian Railway Station. On this railway, trains would pass other 4 stops, including Qingsheng Station (庆盛站), Humen Station (虎门站), Guangmingcheng Station (光明城站), and Shenzhen North Station (深圳北站). However, not all the trains would make a stop at all those middle stations, and they all indeed would stop in Shenzhen North Station. Guangzhou South Railway Station (广州南站)
Guangzhou South Railway Station is situated at Shibi Street, Panyu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province (广东省广州市番禺区石壁街道 广州南站). It is served for most Shenzhen G trains to and from Guangzhou. Local metro line network is really great for your transfer to most attractions and train stations/airplane. Usually, you could take the local Metro Line 2 for about 0.5 hours to the downtown to visit places like the Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall, Yue Xiu Park, Six Banyan Tree, etc. Also, you could take Line 2 and Line 1 to the Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family for about 35 minutes, Line 2 and Line 6 to Shamian Island Scenic Area for about 50 minutes, Line 7 to Chimelong Safari Park for about 30 minutes, Line 7 and Line 3 to Canton Tower for about 35 minutes, Line 2 and Line 3 to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport for about 1 hour & 10 minutes, etc.
Guangzhou North Railway Station (广州北站)
Several G trains would use Guangzhou North Railway Station, which is at No. 1 Zhanqian Road, Huadu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong (广东省广州市花都区站前路1号 广州北站). Actually, it is a little farther away to the Guangzhou downtown and closer to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. To the airport, you could take Metro Line 9 and Line 3 for about 40 minutes. To get to the city center in Yuexiu District, it usually takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes by the Line9, Line 3 and Line 2.
Shenzhen North Railway Station (深圳北站)
All Guangzhou Shenzhen high speed trains would stop in this station. It is situated at No. 28 Middle Zhiyuan Road, Shenzhen, Guangdong (广东省深圳市致远中路28号 深圳北站). To transfer to the downtown and Shenzhen Museum from there, you could take the Metro Line 4 for about 25 minutes. And if you want to go the tourist spots like the Window of the World, Splendid China, China Folk Culture Village, and Happy Valley of Shenzhen, just take the Line 4 and Line 1 for about 40-50 minutes. To reach Shenzhen Baoan Airport, you need to take the Metro Line 5 and Line 11 for about 50 minutes.
Shenzhen Futian Railway Station (深圳福田站)
Some bullet trains would stop in Futian Railway Station, which is at the intersection of 1st Fuhua Road and Yitian Road, Futian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong (广东省深圳市福田区福华一路与益田路交汇处 福田站). From there, you could take the Metro Line 2 to visit Window of the World, Splendid China, China Folk Culture Village, and Happy Valley of Shenzhen for 35 minutes. You could take the Metro Line 11 to Shenzhen Baoan Airport for about 45 minutes.
