Every day, there are about 5 pairs of G high speed trains running between Beijing and Guangzhou from 07:27am to 13:07pm, all arriving at afternoon or night. Among all high speed trains, G 71 is the first train to Guangzhou, G69 is the last train and G79 is the fastest one that merely travel 8 hours.

Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway is one of the longest high speed rails in the world as well as one of the China’s busiest lines in China. The north segment (Beijing-Zhengzhou) is often combined to other popular railways from Beijing to Xian, Chengdu, Guiyang, Kunming, Lanzhou, Nanning and more cities. Joined by three main sections of Beijing-Shijiazhuang-Zhengzhou line, Zhengzhou-Wuhan line and Wuhan-Guangzhou line, Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway extends from north to south China with a total length of 2298 kilometers. Beginning from Beijing West Railway Station in Beijing, it finally arrives at Guangzhou South Railway Station in Guangdong after 8 hours ~ 10 hours’ journey, passing through 4 extra middle provinces, namely, Hebei, Henan, Hubei and Hunan. Beijing West Railway Station (北京西站)
Beijing West Railway Station is located at No.118, East Lianhuachi Road, Fengtai District, West Beijing (北京市丰台区莲池东路118号), about 1 hour’s driving (40km) to Beijing Capital International Airport, 40 mins’ driving (20km) to Beijing Nanyuan Airport and 25 mins to Palace Museum. It is one of the major train stations in Beijing, serving both for high speed trains and normal slow trains, up to 285 trains in total (about 200 G trains). This station is the starting point of Beijing-Kowloon (Hong Kong) Railway, Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway and Beijing Lhasa (Tibet) Railway. You can take airport shuttle bus to travel between Beijing West Railway Station and Beijing Capital Airport, or take a taxi for convenience. Guangzhou South Railway Station (广州南站)
Guangzhou South Railway Station is located in Shibi Village, Shibi Street, Panyu District, Guangzhou (广州市番禺区石壁街石壁村), about1 hour’s driving to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and 40 mins’ driving to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. This station is a very huge modern world-calss railway hub with the biggest and busiest railway networks, which delivers nearly 750 high speed trains (the most) among the major four train stations in Guangzhou. Linked by Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail, Guangzhou-Zhuajiang Intercity Rail and Guiyang Guangzhou and Nanning Guangzhou High Speed Rails, Guangzhou South Railway Station runs trains to vast majority of cities in China, such as Shanghai, Xian, Shenzhen, Guilin, Chongqing, Guiyang, Changsha, Zhuhai, Chaoshan, Futian, Nanning and etc. You can take local public bus or taxi (most recommended) to city center, or take advantage of subways (Metro Line 2 and Line 7) to downtown places at the train station. Terminal for long-distance coach is available at the East Square, where you can take bus to Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhongshan and other cities nearby.
