The 107km long section between Guangzhou and Shenzhen has been opened on December 30th, 2015. For the frequent business transaction and traveling needs, there are altogether over 200 pairs of daily High Speed Trains between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, including G-trains and Intercity C-trains. During some days (no exact rule), special D trains equipped with convenient sleepers will also be scheduled. The G trains travel for only around 29 minutes ~ 1 hour 10 minutes to finish the whole journey, while the Intercity C trains need about 1 hour 14 minutes to 1 hour 37 minutes. Among the 4 High Speed Railway Station of Guangzhou operating High Speed Trains from/to Shenzhen, including Guangzhou South Railway Station, Guangzhou East Railway Station, Guangzhou Railway Station and Guangzhou North Railway Station, Guangzhou South Railway Station and Guangzhou East Railway Station handle most of the trains. Besides, for the 3 High Speed Railway Stations available in Shenzhen, including Shenzhen Railway Station, Shenzhen North Railway Station and Futian Railway Station, Shenzhen North Railway Station and Shenzhen Railway Station operate most of the High Speed Trains to/from Guangzhou.

Speed: about 250km/h

Duration needed: about 14-26 mins

Shenzhen to Hong Kong Section has been put in to use since September 23rd, 2018. High Speed Trains along this section traveling from/to Shenzhen North Railway Station and Futian Railway Station to/from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. The whole train ride from Shenzhen to Hong Kong takes about 14-26 minutes, and from Hong Kong to Shenzhen takes about 14-20 minutes.

Moreover, this section is a key part of high speed rail from Shenzhen to lots of major business cities and tourist destinations in mainland China. As the operation of this part, people can take a high speed train to go to Hong Kong from Guilin for about 3.5 hours, from Beijing for only about 9 hours, from Shanghai for about 8.5 hours, from Wuhan for about 5 hours, from Zhengzhou for about 6.5 hours, etc.

To/from Guangzhou South Railway Station

Guangzhou South Railway Station is located at Shibi Street, Panyu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province (广东省广州市番禺区石壁街道 广州南站). To/from Shenzhen North Railway Station

Shenzhen North Railway Station is located on No. 28 Middle Zhiyuan Road, Shenzhen, Guangdong (广东省深圳市致远中路28号 深圳北站). You can take taxi, bus lines and Shenzhen Metro Line 4 and 5 get to there. From there, you can take Shenzhen Metro Line 4 and Line 1 get to the Window of the World and China Folk Culture Village, take Line 5 and Line 11 get to Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, take Line 4 get to Shenzhen Museum, etc. All the High Speed Trains traveling from Guilin only make stopover at Shenzhen North Railway Station.

To/from Shenzhen Futian Railway Station

Futian Railway Station is located on the intersection of Shennan Road and Yitian Road, Futian Distinct, Shenzhen (深圳市福田区福田街道深南大道与益田路交叉口处东南面 福田站). It is accessible by taking Shenzhen Metro Line 1, 2, 3, 4 and 11. Futian Railway Station is an underground railway station just at the very prosperous downtown area and the closest station to the checkpoint to Hong Kong. When you can’t buy any direct High Speed Train ticket from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, you can also make a transfer via Shenzhen by bullet train. Currently, there are over 220 daily High Speed Trains traveling between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and over 90 daily High Speed Trains between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Especially, if you take the High Speed Train from Guangzhou and making stopover at Shenzhen North Railway Station, there is no need for you to transfer to other railway stations of Shenzhen to take High Speed Trains to Hong Kong.
