Western flush toilets.
Are there western type flush toilets on second class carriages.

Hi, Peter, thanks your question. The Beijing Shanghai high speed trains, as well as all o other bullet trains, have both western flush toilets and squat toilet in each carriage. You can find the western style toilets one the left or right side, at end of each carriage. Before you walk there, you can check if it is occupied from the sign on LED screen overhead. If you are in a hurry, you may walk to other carriages to find available one.
