Question about distances on map
Hello,

I particularly love the following map which clearly indicates distances & time required to travel several parts of the Huangshan mountain: https://www.chinadiscovery.com/assets/images/huangshan/huangshan-hiking-map/huangshan-hiking-map-full01.jpg

However, I'm trying to understand in which direction the times are measured. Is this the time required to hike uphill, or downhill, or is it a mix of both?

Hi Bart,

Thanks for your question. The red dashed lines refer the time needed to hike from location A to B, one way. Both front mountain and back mountain have pathways up to the summit area. You don't have to return the save way for the majority hiking on the mountain. Only Lion Peak and Begin-to-believe Peak need to hike uphill and downhill the same ways.
