Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is on Metro Line 10, which operates from about 6:00-23:30. People can take the metro from both T1 and T2 to Taipingyuan Station (太平园) and transfer to other lines that connect most part of Chengdu. By Airport Bus

There are 3 airport bus lines in the daytime and 3 at night. The buses usually have fixed stops. So you may need a transfer if the bus stops are some distance from your destination. According to different lines, the buses usually run 1-1.5h and depart every 15-30 minutes.

By Taxi

Generally speaking, taking a taxi to Chengdu downtown (around Tianfu Square) will need about 50 minutes and CNY60 charged by the meter. The price will increase a little at night. In case of the language barriers, you can look up the Chinese name of your destination in advance and show it to the driver.
